Obviously coaching is the number 1 problem with this team. But how soft this team is, is a close 2nd

So so so much skill in the top 6 but who is going to open up the ice for that skill?

Even if you have the worst coaching in the NHL ( we do ) how can all your elite offense go this cold. This is unprecedented.

This is not a team. This need to be torn down asap by someone with a hockey mind.

We will not be good in the next 2-3 years. Will Eichel make it that long of losing? It really might be time to look to trade him in the offseason....

This is such a futile discussion. Everyone in the org deserves blame. Name one guy who has done enough? Everyone from the very top to Tage Thompson has not done enough. It doesn't matter. All that matters is that you have a collection of players that are talented enough to win in this league and haven't.

What are toys without a child to play with them? Dusty plastic.

Already made it clear that I'm not talking about Ralph. I'm talking about the last 10 years and the craziness of blaming all those coaches for everything.

Eichel was at his peak under Ralph. Skinner was at this peak under Phil. Doesn't make either a good coach.

For most teams, coaching is a revolving door. When the team is good, we say the coach is good. When the team is bad, we say the same coach is bad. When the front office is inept, it all looks bad.

- Lunaion

What is wrong with debating this person? No one said they blame the coaches for everything but he adds that in because his point is so weak he has to exaggerate.

We are on 5 coaches in 11 years.

Tell me what other team has that revolving door you are talking about?

No team hires a new coach every two years for 5 years. NO TEAM.

That's utter bullpoop. I thought you were a data man? Dahlin has regressed every year under Krueger. Joker is lost. Hall is nowhere. Staal is lost. Skinner is playing 12 minutes a night. Eichel is nowhere to be found.

It's the most talented team in 10 years and 90% of the players are worse.

It's not a fluke. This coach is actively making players worse

*excluding the teams who have made trades

Also, hey, maybe fire the coach. One team with a winning record did that, and one team with a .500 record did rhat

- jcragcrumple

I’m for it, but Homie & 89 have said it’s not happening

And no significant trades are being made
Last one was Dubois for Armia- and we didn’t have a piece (besides Eichel & Dahlin) who are on that level

Ullmark hasn't played more than 37 games each of the past 2 seasons and he's been injured each of the past 2 seasons.

On top of that, his advanced stats last year were not good.

I don't see Ullmark being in any kind of a strong position.

Risto for 10 games until covid when he came back to Earth, Reinhart is still fine and Oloffson can still score PP goals.

That's it. No one is better than when Ralph was hired. Players are getting WORSE

You don’t need a tough guy to “open up the ice”
The facepunchers are basically useless
And there’s only so many guys around the league like the Tkachuk bros., who are tough AND can play in the top6- and they don’t usually get traded

Tomorrow's game is on national TV. Does anyone think Bettman is calling the Islanders and telling them to take it easy and make it competitive so fans are at least entertained?

I think I am ready to trade Eichel. Give me a Lindros for Forsberg type deal. Its a win win.

If you aren't going to bring in a real coach then move on.

Give us two of Lindholm, Gudreau, Monahan and Tkachuk with a first for Eichel.
