Dahlin, Joker, Eichel, Hall, Skinner and Staal all regressed under this moron. What more evidence do you need?
- jcragcrumple

Completely agree. Housley wasn't much better.

Enough with the rookie bullsheet coaches.

Bring in a real hockey coach.

Rolston garden gloves
Blysma
Housley
Kreuger

All garbage.

Because the coaches we have/had are all trash.
The team has no heart
Good players come here and disappear
Players here that disappear go elsewhere and strive.

If you bring in new players like Hall and they disappear who do you want to blame? Hall? Eichel? Then bring in more players and watch them disappear too, then who do you blame? Sooner or later you have to wonder why players come here to die.

- sabresfan69

That sums it up, ever since la core. Soft teams getting outworked.

Their entire game-plan is hilarious

There was a play earlier where Rieder had the puck along the wall, had time and space to step in and shoot with no one around him, and he instinctively threw it to a covered point man and it was out of the zone three seconds later

For me I think the coach is the one who instills the heart.

Look at Nolan's teams. Very little talent, competed every game and tons of heart.

Coaches can bring it.(Peca helped too)

I’m not trying to give u sh!t here,
but do u really think Tage deserves more time in the lineup?
Have u actually liked him at all this season?

He looks like the same lost player as when we first got him
89 said to trade him for Deslauriers last night
Deslauriers is a 4th line face puncher,
& I’d be totally ok doing that for Tage

He’s a good AHL player, but that’s it

- jdfitz77

we are the worst team in the nhl

tage should get a 5 game look before we see 5 more games of okposo

I really don't know. The fact that he hasn't been able handle a starters workload is a problem. But if you aren't going to pay him as a starter, why shouldn't he test the market?
- Lunaion

Look at what Lehner got last offseason ($5M for 5 years).

He's better then Ullmark and only 3 years older.

Ullmark also has had injury issues.

I'd be surprised if Ullmark even got an offer for $4M, and I would be stunned if a team gave him a long term deal.

Yet all the coaches people bring up have been fired 3-4 times. If it's that important and those guys are that good....something doesn't add up.

he was a backup suppose to play 25 percent of the games

this is a really bad team, and the goalie numbers go hand in hand with how bad the team is

when they are not claiming a goalie, on waivers that can help, and have Michael Houser as your emergency goalie

the season is over

- homiedclown

Ullmark’s numbers are significantly better,
so that excuse doesn’t hold up

Hutton was supposedly ok now that he had his eye surgery.... right??? Lolololol

You even tried defending Hutton at multiple times this year- throwing out his bad games & pointing to his stats in the small sample of decent-good ones that he played

It’s really not that hard to just admit u were wrong
We all are at times

I admitted it all year long about the Bills huge leap in passing stats that i didn’t expect
You were right in that case- & i was wrong

See homie, it’s really that easy

Believe it or not the coach is the one that instills leadership in a team to bring it together.

Yes players are leaders but you have 20 guys in a room from 5 different countries making millions of dollars.

The coach needs to bring that together. You would hope the players could do it but without the right coach it goes to sheet.

- sabresfan69

Partly true as far as it goes. Coaches clearly set tone and expectations but the captain sets and enforces expectations to say nothing about leading by example. How does that look for jack? Bad optics!

Think messier or Crosby. I know there’s not much traction in Buffalo where jack is the anointed and it’s hard to criticize the hero when you have so few. But coaching, goaltending, softies, bad contracts all yep. Add eichel to that list .

I just think it’s funny that y’all are trying to say there’s just one issue that needs to be fixed. As far as I can see, goalie is a problem, scoring is a problem, coach is a problem, our “stars” are on the backend of their tier rankings imo, but yes anyone of you is correct. If we just correct the one issue you are pointing out the team will be competitive.

There’s other young players I’d rather see at this point than Tage
He just hasn’t shown anything in the NHL
I’d like to see Routsalainen called up & playing for example
