They may lose this trade 9 out of 10 times when comparing talent, but if it makes them a better "team", then who's to say who actually won the trade?

Agree, they really need to break up some of this core, they just breed losing. I would like to keep Jack and build around Jack, Dahlin, Cozens, you could probably add Bryson, Borgen, Joker, Olofsson to the list. And then hopefully you see Rusto, Quinn, Laaksonen, Samuelsson, Peterka, some sooner but a foundation. And then use Hall, Rhino, Risto, Miller, Montour, Staal as bait to add more to the foundation.

Depends what “authority” gmka actually has.

Depends on if there is some type of sale actually being looked at.

If a sale is being considered, either minority or out right, you don’t trade the teams on ice best asset.

If it’s status quo and Kim knows better, expect, Logan Brown as the center piece. Because elite tallness.

I think a savvy GM could possibly pull a trade off and make the team better.

I think Kim will proper frank this 7 ways from Sunday.

I guess it depends on what you get back for the players you're proposing trading. Picks do nothing for us.

It leaves us awfully thin, and where does that leave Jack's attitude about all this going forward? Is he 30 before he sniffs success?

But I agree, change is needed.

Agree with being thin and would depend on what you get in return, but hard decisions need to be made.

And soon.

They are ruining this fan base. People are going from being angry to just downright apathetic, and that's worse.

I think those trade proposals are more right than wrong.
I would hope the Sabres could squeeze more out of each...with a competent GM at the helm. With a player of Eichel's caliber, I would want more A-Prospects included than draft choices...as I see the a declining value of draft picks by the acquiring team improving.

I'm not saying Adams is incompetent...we just don't know with how inexperienced he is coupled with a lack of qualified personnel in the front-office staff to support him. The risk is high in him not maximizing the return.

If there is one thing the Pegula's should be seriously considering , it is to bring in a very experienced and qualified executive to help Adams. Call him what you will, Pres., PoHO, Sr. Advisor whatever, but someone who can help drive the negotiations.

Secondarily, the should actively consider sourcing more support staff in Data Analytics and Player Evaluation experience to provide Adam's with the necessary brain trust.

So when they are 50% capacity for the limited fans allowed and the fans that do attend heckle Ralph till they get tossed, MAYBE then they will take notice.

So we should come up with a chant from to old nightmare on elm street days....

1..2 Freddy’s gonna bench you

3..4 not gonna skate no more

5..6 what’s a hockey stick ....

☝️ Needs some taco tweaking.

Why is it that when the Sabres have a need to make changes to the roster, outside forces conspire to reduce the return.

Last season, Botts had 742 RhD that he could move...but nope, the majority of the teams were tight against the Cap to depress the market of buyers for such players.

This season, so many players that should be traded away at the TDL ...nope, Covid Quarantines and a flat Cap serve to depress the market of buyers once again.

BOSTON — With Brandon Carlo heading to the hospital in an ambulance, the Boston Bruins got back at the Washington Capitals the best way they could.
Carlo went down late in the first period after Wilson went hands-high to his head in the corner behind the Boston net. Carlo absorbed a cross-check from Vrana on his way to the ice and remained there for several minutes.

The music went silent in the empty arena, and the Bruins bench could be heard cussing out Wilson. When Carlo finally got to his skates, the only noise was his teammates banging their sticks against the boards.

Agree, and Dudley would have been a good start. I am starting to wonder if the old Pittsburgh connection is going to happen. Wonder if Rutherford comes in.

There's trades to be made, just will Adams be given the ok, and how far is he willing to push it.

If you don’t get one potential stud back you don’t move him. You can’t trade him for just a plethora of unknown assets.

You need a teams best prospect and probably a teams young up and comer. And they need to take skinner too.

So now you don’t like Russ Brandon doing marketing things to drive tickets sales. But it’s ok when he sells a buffalo home game to Toronto?!?
- Gr8daygo

So you dont like this , but it's ok to do this?

What the (frank) are you talking about?

When did i imply it was ok to sell buffalo home games to Toronto.

Gilles wouldnt have had the Bill's play in Toronto though right?
