If it wasn't for McDavid, Eichel would have been the number 1 pick and people want to give him away for crap. Jesus Christ it's painful reading this blog sometimes.

He is nowhere near Lindros, Mitts was all high and mighty before he made the NHL too.
- SABRES 89

Right, of course - this is my point. He is a lottery ticket that has freakish athletic ability. That is almost always over-valued in any sport.

Cody Eakin is possibly the worst regular forward in hockey and the good news is he’s signed through next season

Byfield is a minus 13 with Ontario and they said he is not making progress like they thought he would. I don't know why everyone is foaming at the mouth for him.

People should hold off and calm down regarding Eichel being moved.

- SABRES 89

I think his name comes up a lot because he’s one of the most highly rated prospects that *may* be available.

I don’t think people want to trade Eichel but with the current makeup of the team I don’t really see any way Eichel will want to stay

If Eichel can't do anything on this team, Byfield sure as hell can't. I'll take Eichel all day long.

Biyfield is not available and they aren't moving Eichel.

And you would expect what, specifically in return for Jack?

I know, he isn't avail (yet)...but this is a hockey rumors board, not the Pentagons War planning site.

I kinda feel like both the rangers and kings would be more ready to trade those picks they won in the lottery.

Both teams were gifted those picks
Both teams didnt destroy their franchise to get there.

Both teams are an eichel away from being young and dangerous for a while.

There is no yet, they hung up on the Rangers and Kings weeks ago like I said before it was mentioned this last week about the Kings and Rangers.

Kings and Rangers are in no better shape then the Sabres.

You and me both. The other day I asked if anyone remembered a time where a young star with no baggage was traded and the team that traded him won the trade. It doesn't happen. Maybe the Lindros trade was the last time and that was only because Lindros couldn't stay healthy (and Quebec's lottery tickets included a hall of famer among its giant haul).

Big difference, Lindros in no way shape or form would play for Quebec.

That goal was a perfect execution of exactly what the Sabres don't due.
Always a single wave/layer entry into the O-zone...not 2nd or 3rd, no trailer.

Great set-up...took me back to 2006.
