If the Sabres finished with the 4th pick after the Lottery, would you be in favor of packaging it with Okposo to get rid of him?
He has 2 yrs remaining at $6m per.

- IonSabres

What?! Absolutely not

$6mil in Cap room over the next few years would admittedly be nice....
BUT
why wouldn’t u rather have a good player for the next 10years or so instead?

Also,
can’t Okposo be bought out reasonably after this season?
I feel like I’ve seen ppl post about that in these past couple years

Well, with pretty skilled Offensive players in
Eichel, Skinner, Reinhart, Staal (given his age), Cozens (unproven, but trending)
And puck-moving Defensemen in Dahlin, Joker, Montour, Brycen, Borgen
One would think that an attack-style system would be better.

The risk is the Goaltending likely would not hold up...which would highlight the need for Kevy Krueger to acquire another good goalie to partner with Ullmark.

Terry may not want to pay coaches who aren’t here any longer…but keeping RK will absolutely have a negative impact on season tickets, mercy, etc…the o my way to get this place excited for this team is to fire RK.

Get an established coach.

I am a bit surprised that homie the clown and that other poster think Hutton is not a problem and that goaltending hasn't been a problem.

These posters I guess are hoping Hutton gets resigned because if Hutton is not a problem why wouldn't you resign him.

I have watched the last 3 years momentum get killed time and time again with bad goals. I guess I pay attention more than most.

This team didn't score today because they already gave up, the team gave up long ago. Watch at the beginning of the season the players shoulders when Buffalo has all the momentum in a tied game and Ullmark or Hutton let in a bad goal.

Maybe I am wrong and maybe homie is right. Maybe Hutton is not a problem and should be resigned. I am surprised he would think that though.

Who else here thinks Hutton should be resigned because goaltending is not a problem, so far buff36 and Homie think Hutton hasn't been a problem for the sabres.

- sabresfan69

Wow!
Please point to where I, the other poster, has said I want Hutton resigned?
You can't, because it was never said, nor inferred.

Let me make it really simple for you...
When your team loses back to back 0-3 and the Goalie in both games posts very respectable .923 SV%: you probably should look at other issues to blame the loss on.
That is it, that's all.

Do you always jump widely to unfounded conclusions and put words in other people's mouth?

You look incredibly disingenuous with this post .

The forward ranks are producing at 2.33 GF/G. In the weekends 2 games of 120 minutes they potted 0...ZERO. That is $50m+ worth of F's producing jack-poop.
I would suggest generating 8 shots a period kills all momentum, if they had any at all.

Maybe you should consider context next time...so, In the future when the Sabres manage to lose 6-5, don't blame the loss on lack of goalscoring.

What a moronic post.

Thought it was funny to see my name there, when I have been one of the starches advocates for getting a better goalie

I'm not sure if you played organized hockey at any level?
Not sure if matters either but:

When you show up and you know the goalie suck's or is the back up ( or the back up's , back up) , that's a tough way to start a season/ game...

Jack had to see this train wreck from the start.

And I agree, it's not the only problem, but it is a problem.

The problem is in their head then. The Goaltending in both games was NHL starter level.
It's the fragile mindset of a physically and mentally weak team.

That’s one way. Another way is just to say (frank) it, we don’t have a chance. And after watching Ullmark be something for them to roll back to Hutton, even if he played decently well had to be a gut punch. They still haven’t gotten off the mat.

In a beer league sure.

In the NHL being paid very, very well to produce...I think we have the real problem.

Another season is getting away from the Sabres. It looks like the coach isn’t a fit for this roster.

Will the Sabres finally show they have a standard and care about winning?

Probably not.

Oh yea and Mcdavid and Leon feel the same with there goalies they have been provided since they entered the league.

Never heard any word of them quitting??

Its time for us to stop accepting losers and losing. But yes lets give the players that have been here the longest a pass.

God its like the Pegulas are CNN and Fox News combined and they are force feeding sabres fans that losing is OK. And by the looks of it, its working. Not me god. Not me

Every time I think the team has hit a new low, I am reminded what a fool I was for thinking that when they hit another new low.

When the Sabres are finally good again, if they ever are, how will anybody know, as we will all assuredly have ceased caring and stopped watching long before then?

So I'm a Marvel guy through and through, but I finally began my foray into the Arrowverse. I think the DC movies were second rate, but the DC tv shows are actually pretty good. I did some afternoon binging, checked twitter for the hilarious final score, and continued on with my day of pizza, kids and Arrow.

Life is good without this team.
