At least until Risto is ready.

I'd hope that if Bryson outplays Irwin and/or Davidson, that they make the proper decision.

But it's the Sabres, so they won't.

I'd like to see Laaksonen at some point, too.

It also shouldn’t be hard to beat out Irwin and Davidson.

I wish we had a better Irwin on defense. I guess that’s Borgen. But he’s out

How would you build the d in the near future? Do you resign Risto and McCabe? Which of the RD do you move?

Dahlin. Borgen.
?......? Risto
Bryson. Joker.

Move most of the rest?
Keep Irwin as the 7th?

Ryan Jones is playing well down in Rochester. See what happens, but if they know they are out, wouldn't mind seeing Samuelsson. Sh!t bring them all up and give them a taste.

Risto still has another year.

Laaksonen and Samuelsson may have a shot here, too.

dahlin borgen seems like it has a lot of potential
i reallly like mccabe and what he brings in all areas including leadership...but those pesky injuries make me hesitant...that said, might be able to get him on an inexpensive deal because of them...
risto has flourished under ralph...gonna be a tough decision

bryson/joker = an inexpensive third-pairing that just might work, dependent upon their individual development...irwin can go...miller can be traded...i like montour but i think he bolts

I think he has a leg up as an LD. He just has beat out Irwin on his off-side. His to lose imo.

I'm pulling for him. The youngsters bring some much needed life to this team.

It would be much easier if Risto and Borgen weren't out, you could put Laaksonen in that 3rd spot at RD see what he does. Sabres have a lot of options at D for the future.

I think Borgen is the early favorite for Seattle. Do you like him enough to protect 4D and expose 3 additional forwards? Do you pay a bribe, and lose Asplund instead?

That's not what it's saying. He needs those games to meet their exposure requirements. They have to expose 1 D who meets those reqs.

i thought it meant that those are the number of games they'll need to play in to reach a level that would mandate a protection decision
