As bad as the team has been they can still win the division.

Top place Tor has lost twice to Ott. No second line scoring.

Second Place Montreal has lost 3 of their last 5. No scoring from their centers.

Newly improved Calgary are 8-7 .Mediocre team at best.

There's no chance the Canucks can win the North Division, they're just not good enough. That said. You are starting to see glimpses of them playing better.

Toronto is just to good IMO for anyone to take the Division away from them, as far as secondary scoring, Tavares has 15 points in 16 games as their second line center, little Willy Nylander has 12 points in 16 games, even their third line scoring is fine.

Hate to say it but they're the best team in the North

Good one Wedgie

Thanks for the Novel Lefty. Interesting read.

Vantel - Burt said he would move back to Canada (Vancouver) if Biden won the election, I wouldn’t trust anything he says.

Don - (frank) you, and (frank) Chompsey too.

Codesey, hope you had a great day.

I HAD SOMETHING FOR K MAN TOO BIT NOW I HAVE FORGOTTEN. Also, not meaning to yell.

Amazing goal scorer when you consider 99% of the 500+ club played in the 70's 80's and 90's or before. He pretty much stands alone in the 2000's

We skipped lunch there. Justin announced all the cancelled flights, had to scramble to change our flight. Definitely try it out this summer when we get home. They’ve got excellent Mexican food here in Sayulita but crappy beer. Who wants to invest in a brewery here?

Woah. I love Sayulita!

Arguably the best scorer ever. Like you said, factoring in the defense/goalies/style of the earlier years, plus how much more game-planning happens with teams keying in on guys now... it's absurd how clinical and consistent he has been.

Of his generation Crosby is the closest at 467, then Eric Staal at 439 and then Steven Stamkos at 430. He’s 250+ goals ahead of them.

He won't break Gretzky's record but it is truly remarkable the consistency especially in the modern era of huge goalies and high save %.

Even still he might go down as the greatest scorer of all time.

Plus he had two lockouts and the plandemic which shortened his career.

Mike Bossy, Mario Lemieux and Pavel Bure all have higher Goals per Game average, but like you say, there has to be an adjustment for era.

Also true. Which is a factor. Gretz said years ago that he expected OV to break his record, but certain circumstances haven't helped. Would be interesting to see where OV's totals would be if all of his years were 82 games each on the schedule.

my buddy sent me this. This is when I sort of shy away from analytics, cause it really truly only tells a piece of the whole story. I think Adam Gaudette is going to be a good player for us, if we continue to develop him and put him in positions to succeed and grow, but im not really sure how he fits into this:
