But then again, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough seems to work ok. I guess success overcomes poor location.

There's certainly a strong fan base in Ottawa, but man that trip is brutal.

My friends live out in Russell and they hit a few games a year with easy access to seasons tickets. It's just so impractical to attend games.

It's close but you're talking a northeastern market vs southwestern. The Phoenix area probably has more people than Buffalo are but right outside of that there's a poop ton more people around Buffalo. This really becomes apparent with visiting team fan bases.
