Nice game.
Great win.

2-0-1 since Aqualini rallied the troops.

Who are the 3 stars? (my feed always ends before they announce it).

I'd go:
1. Brock
2. Holtby
3. Hoglander

Myers was awesome, but I missed the first

I choose neither - but you're right RA would be a fine 3rd pair guy but as a PP QB he's absolutely dog sh&t. However, I also believe Sven doesn't belong in Utica. Anybody that can put aside their ego/bias that have watched him play there can see he's a NHL player & I'd rather have him in the lineup than say Rousell, Beagle, Sutter any day. Obviously, you gotta balance the lineup and he just doesn't fit here anymore and clearly there's a riff between the two sides and it is what it is. I actually respect the guy a ton for coming back from injuries/concussions, taking his demotion and playing hard in Utica.

I agree about Sven. His contact is killing him, not a bad problem to have but....

5-2 Canucks, Bo snaps out of it with a strong game and pots a pair, Edler, Brock and Loui into the empty net.
It will be a chippy game.😁

I was kinda close.

Lol, "quoted" it because it has no long term testing and unlike polio, tetanus, TB, et al, the Covid-19 vaccine(like influenza) isn't an effective long term vaccine, that we know about. You're gonna end up needing 2 shots a year for something that doesn't kill you, depending on your comorbidity. Think the flu, but less deadly for younger people. The world's in a frenzy because it targets old, rich, voting people, not young, poor, non voters.

Anyways, let's stick to hockey....

From a statistical standpoint he has been there best D all year. Eye test is more mixed as he has had some boneheaded giveaways for sure
- CanuckDon

I can spin any statistic you want, but, I won't. I think Schmidt had played pretty decent the last 5 games.
Is he a 6 million dollar player, fuck no.

His first 3 seasons in Van he posted .40 .51 and .54 PPG and had just turned 25 - there also wasn't a ton of prospects in the pipeline. To me the contract made sense and I bet most teams would've done the same. He even started off the next year pretty hot before the big concussion and then of course everyone turned on him, JB and the contract.

Most aren't but D are normally overpaid. The biggest problem with Schmidt is he'll make 3-4 solid plays then 1 massively glaring one and that's all anyone focusses on.
Unfortunately, his mistakes usually end up in the back of the net so it amplifies the issue. But I think they're problems he/team can fix or cut down on. I'd start by giving some of his PK minutes to OJ.
And you're right in that he's been better lately, hopefully that trend continues.

Interesting that the "Bust-levi" and the "trade Boeser" posters are all pretty fawking quiet these days eh??

Insane what exercising a bit of patience can do...and ironic that most preach draft and develop but are quick to hum a different tune if the speed of that doesn't align to their likes. This fan base is mind boggling.

Agree with all that. It just seems you have a hard on for Andy, to what, make yourself feel better about the trade in the first place? Maybe I’m just projecting, maybe not. It is what it is now, let’s dump on Virtanen. That could be the thing that unites all the factions.

Both players have both give the fan base plenty of doubts to deal with.

OJ with his long injuries had lots of people asking will he ever be ready. Canucks have a history of whatever can go wrong will go wrong. It is nice to see finally happening in favor of the Canucks.

My eye test and score results/play of the defense unit seem to work out when Edler, Myers and Schmidt play about 22 minutes each, with Hughes playing 17-18 minutes and Benn Juolevivi hitting the 14-16 minute mark.
Obviously the minutes for Hughes change when down in the game but if the team plays hard and responsible like they have been in this series, I would hope the keep that type of minute formula going.

Juolevi has been the least of my concerns for the Canucks
