No interest in moving Legare/Poulin.

We have been kicking this can down the road... I do not want to keep trading prospects and picks for guys with 1 year left on their deal and on the other side of 30.

Our main trade chip should be Pettersson. He is a top 4 guy, signed at a reasonable price.

I love Getzlaf. He'd be a cool guy to get. Just not willing to mortgage pieces of our future for a team that isnt even the 1st or 2nd best team in their division and probably not even the 3rd best team.

Hahaha I'm actually good with the idea of Getzlaf. There's your right shot PP and 3C in one move.

I get the logic from a "needs" standpoint but way too many aspects of this make it implausible. Especially with GMRH and Burke saying this year is more of an evaluation year, I don't see a huge move like this happening.

But yeah, if we were just making a player in a science lab to meet our needs... a 3rd line Center, net front presence, RH shot on the PP are all important needs.

Now let's get full video game crazy - Malkin and Jarry to ANA for Getzlaf and Gibson

They didn't say this was an evaluation year, they actually said they are going to go for it this year and try to win and evaluate in the off season.

That video game trade makes no sense. Hard no.

Getzlaf has very little value, It would be brain dead to unload a prospect for 35 year old who's done, Also why are the Penguins so eager to win In a very forgettable asterisk filled season? There Is no Stanley Cup this year, Just a kung flu cheap plastic tournament trophy.

Haha it's a video game trade it's not supposed to make sense. But getting the best goalie in the league for the next 10 years is something we should explore.

Nah I don’t give a poop about the best goalie for the next 10 years considering this window is closing and I’d rather suck and get high draft picks when it closes and not tred water and get middling picks because a goalie is going to steal a handful of games for us.

No one gives a poop about this. Looks like you're doing well in clown school. Keep it up. You'll get your long floppy shoes soon enough.

So a huge downgrade at 2c with no long term replacement for a decent upgrade in goal factoring in goalie performance volatility. Sound logic imho tbh.

Would be nice to have my thoughts on Getzlaf acknowledged and not just plagiarized.

Lol, having the best goalie in the league gets you New York rangers, and Montreal Canadiens and Anaheim. What have they really won without real structure? I'll take Jarry, and our team with a better 4th line without giving up our future.

I got another tip from my source on a potential 3 way deal.

To VGK: Bernier

To DET: Jarry

To PIT: MAF (50% retained by DET)

This is just the framework and other pieces would be included.

Honestly think MAF would be like jumper cables for the locker room. I’d be pretty into this knowing full well that MAF could experience a significant dip coming from a better defensive system in Vegas to whatever we have hear where every defenseman is also hurt.

Did your guy say anything about what it would take to get Getzlaf?

Imagine thinking the Cup doesn’t matter this season because the season structure is a bit weird.

Something like McCann/Petts + POJ/Poulin and a pick.
