I was thinking more 6-5 Oilers, but either result wouldn’t surprise me.

Sean when is McDavid going to stop with the dangerous 150MPH direct to the net plays. He has the complete package to be as dangerous as anyone who has ever played the game but this high speed around the defender directly toward the net at full acceleration is going to get him hurt or the goalie hurt. Dmen have no choice but to do whatever legal or illegal to block the McDavid missell. Its crazy & unnecessary & yes Tanev clipped his toe in desperation but his trajectory was what the ref saw & called him on it.
& if you want to call BS that roughing penalty on Tkachuk in the first period was BS too so both sides get the brunt of these crap calls.

I thought Oilers looked good & should have won that game if they had any goaltending. JMO anyway.

A goal is a lot less important than the health of a player. Maybe get your poopbag defense to stop trying to take him out.

The Ottawa franchise is a (frank)ing joke. My buddy bought tickets for the game last season, and a week before the game, the league got postponed.

The poverty franchise still hasn't given him a refund almost a year later.

No players get a free pass to the net. He wants to take chances like that every game, where a rut could break a collarbone, or a legal check puts him down on the ice. 50/50 chance he doesn't bump the goalie if he stays on his feet.

30 teams play that way, except I guess EDM which allow free lanes to the net. No wonder Koskinen looks so bad.

You.
Can't.
Trip.
Players.

"Maybe McDavid SHOULDN'T try and score."

No dude, get your head out of your ass. The player shouldn't be tripped. Remember when Giordano did the same dirty ass play two seasons ago and nearly (frank)ed McDavid's knee? That shouldn't be happening.

And what's this about "50/50 chance he would hit the goalie". McDavid does that every game and rarely if ever gets a goalie interference call.

Look get your head out of your butt. Tell me what defenceman can keep up to him when he is full acceleration & cutting hard to the net. If the D is trying to cut the angle & try to play the puck with their stick in front of him sh!t is going to happen. Thats the only move they have or they just watch him go in. & that aint going to happen. Dont call it dirty, because if he doesnt learn to play smarter this is not going to end well for either the goalie or McDavid. Its reckless is what it is.

Jesus Christ, you can hold your players accountable you know you gigantic (frank)tard. You're literally blaming McDavid for being a good player.

"Don't be fast or we'll be dirty and trip you."

And Giordano tripping him two seasons ago was absolutely dirty, don't give me that poop you (frank)ing moron.

You're kind of an idiot, aren't you. He should slow down and not cut in front of the net because defencemen can't keep up with him? I guess everyone should also get out of the way when Weber's on the PP as well since that's not going to end well either. Or maybe he shouldn't shoot it so hard. There's nothing safe about allowing Weber to use the slap shot.

He isn't. Yeah any defender is going to do what they can to stop a player. Personally I want to see the refs call far more penalties for hooks and holds. Not just for McDavid but for all elite players. The NHL is the only league that tries to actively bring the stars down to the level of everyone else.

McDavid is going to keep playing that way, it's why he is the best and there is risk there. I just want the League to call the correct play. (yes there were soft calls on both sides of the ice in that game)

Get the (frank) out of here. Players are taught from novice to drive to the net. If a dman takes them out it’s dirty. Suspensions should follow. It’s just as dirty as hitting a guy from behind into the boards. Idiots.

I heard the GMs met and agreed since everytime someone lays a finger on McDavid a penalty gets called anyways that they are introducing the Mcfemale dog penalty, 2 minutes for breathing, rubbing against or touching Mcdavid, double minor when he starts crying

Holy sh1t buddy. In what world does a pro athlete not go 100% all the time? especially the elite ones?

1. McDavid's quote from last time when he got injured after he beat sh1thead Giordano to the outside and Gio stuck his blade into McDavid's skates "They just paid me $100 Million dollars to go to the net like that, as hard as I can. If I stopped going to the net like that I guess I would have to give back all of that money wouldn't I?" (God I love this kid's attitude).

2. McDavid beat sh1thead Giordano to the outside AGAIN and he stuck his blade into McDavid's wheels AGAIN, and so did Tanev. McDavid's edgework is more than capable of evading the 'tender after that play. He had like 2ft of clean ice, had those two ankle-benders not stuck their blades out like pu33ies. It's one thing to take away the lane to your goalie, it's quite another to get beaten and then make a sh1t play with your stick after you've failed. Giordano is the worst for this, such an over-rated defensemen.

3. I guess it's a positive for you that Johnny Hockey will NEVER get injured going to the net.

Not sure what game you were watching. Giordano did absolutely nothing wrong and clearly didn't want to cause another injury. He turned around and made a weak attempt at the puck before McDavid grabbed his stick.

You can't expect players to literally jump out of the way when he gets near the net.

Maybe Tanev should've been called for tripping, but it wasn't egregious at all. He was in control, made a play for the puck, and got the puck. No one was diving around or swinging their sticks wildly.
