Yawl need to trade for PLD while his stock is low!
You could use more whine in your 2nd line!

You post this just so you can rhyme,
to be able to chime
in about our second line.
You were first, so it's on time,
which is not a crime.
I wont allow your comment be so malign
But hey, we are fine
with Strome on our 2nd line
my sad emotions are mine.

They have to make a move for Dubois. He is exactly what they need, almost like the final piece of the rebuild. Trade Kakko if you have to imo. Strome is cutting it

Dude played under 4 minutes last night, all in the first period. That poop is getting untenable real quick and it might come to a point where his leaving amounts to more than whatever the return might be.

I would go Strome, Kratsov, and a 1st (lottery protected)

Is that enough? After last night, PLDs stock has definitely taken a hit.

If it's getting untenable, it's possible that maybe his return is going to get reduced too. Granted, tons of other teams would pitch offers, but I'm not sure you'd have to include as much above.

He still won't be had for peanuts and like you said other teams offers could drive the price up more so than down. Either way the starting point would be much lower than what has been discussed earlier.

Would love to see if there is a connection between him and LaF. They could be the French Connection

Would also give us three strong centers. I'd hope at that point, nobody complains Chytil being the 3rd line center.

Just because he was benched for a game doesnt mean they would trade him for nothing!!! Youd have to reverse it and say if he had a hat trick in the last game is he worth Laf, KK and Panarin? One game doesnt drive his stock up or down.

The reality is the Jacket will probably want at least KK and a first.

Kravstov, no KK

Kravstov, Strome, Lundkvist, Buffalo's 2021 3rd round pick, Ottawa's 2021 4th round pick

Chytil smoked Hughes on 2 consecutive faceoff in the 3rd period the other night...Obviously the Devils should trade Hughes for that alone.

No doubt they will ask, and if another team is willing to give up something comparable, God bless them.

GMs definitely will try to start a bidding war. I think he is young enough and talented enough for many to be interested regardless of the issues with his playing time.
Also, while there is negatives circling about him asking for a trade, the rumor is that he does not click with Tortorella's style, which I think there are many of GMs that would understand that.

I do think Rangers need to make a legitimate offer, to which I have not seen they have even opened any conversations. As for offers, I generally do not get into that game, however, they will probably have to move a young guy to get a young talent like him.

The biggest thing in this, Rangers being in the same division may push Columbus to not trade him here

Ive thought about that and its possible, it just doesn't stop the Rangers and Hurricanes making a trades frequently though

Good point. On the flip side, Columbus can trade him to us and then play with a chip on their shoulder every time we have a game.

if the Rangers are willing to include Nils Lundkvist, he's definitely a very very blue chip trade piece

Columbus could covet him thinking long term that they aren't guaranteed to keep Seth Jones from becoming a UFA no matter how badly they want to keep him

Some teams who are interested in Dubois intend to circle back to Columbus pretty soon... everyone is watching this unfold

I want to point out to the board that looking at his stats, PLD is looking slightly bit better than Mika in terms of their first few years. Mika only cost us Brassard, which while was an established player at the time, also didn't cost us a ton of prospects in addition to him.

Most of the league is up against the cap and while teams want him, there isn't going to be tons of teams that will be able to finagle something. He's a real talented young center, but there are also several other guys who are in the 22-24 age group who put up better numbers last year.

I just see these proposals of including Kakko or Nils and I'm not sure that would be a fair value for us trading for him. I'd hesitate trading one of those guys for Willy N, and I think he's twice the player PLD is. Plus, Columbus seems to be a friendly trading partner for us over the years. Part of that may have been that JD was there, but if that franchise still respects JD, that could help us as well.

Id think Columbus would be looking for players to help out on their roster now. Lets face facts, Strome is a throw in for cap balance. Kravstov is an unknown, Lundkvist isnt going to make an impact now and the picks arent valuable at all. PLD is a strong 1B center, he is the best player in the deal, Jackets will want someone who has the potential for some upside.

Kravtsov Lundqvist Howden 2021 1st 2022 1st. That’s what I think realistically it takes to get it done. Maybe even replacing Howden with Chytil.
