Howden should've trained with Hughes. Howden gets checked and can't stay up on his skates. He's got a big frame, but he's a featherweight.

It sounds like DQ will move Lafrenière back to LW and try Kreider at RW on that top line with Mika Zibanejad. He said he hopes it will give Laf "a little more comfort." #NYR

Was this not what we all imagined / hoped for?

Im excited for this. They should roll that line out with Fox and Lindgren.

If DQ starts the 4th line again only for us to get hemmed in our own zone for the first 60 seconds of the game, probably taking a a penalty, i'm going nuclear

Gauthier, Strome, Kakko should be the third line and what they should start the game with.

A bit off topic, Does anyone think ADA will still be on the Rangers in 2 years? I think the Rangers should trade him for a center. They need a bona fide center and I doubt ADA can control himself. Trade him while he still has value before he winds up like Ho Sang.

No part of that will happen but i would be ok with that. DQ does these things like starting the 4th line every period that have no obvious benefit. If i recall correctly he finally switched it up for the 3rd period of the last game but i just dont get it

I think he needs to come back, keep his trap shut, and put up some points before we can even consider his trade value. Even if he starts putting up points but is still a distraction with his on and off ice antics i don't think that any team will want to touch that

Why? he did last year. Yeah I remember that year Ho-Sang was 4th in point among all NHL forwards.

You aren't getting a bonafide center though for ADA.

Guess he is looking for energy, I think Torts used to do that a ton. Obviously Torts knew what he was doing. DQ doesn't in this instance

I definitely doubt it, just because of the prospects on the way

I just don't think Tony D's trade value is very high

Trouba really needs to be more consistent or that contract is going to look really bad

Come on, don't exaggerate, Rick.

...it only took them 32 seconds to score.

WOW! DQ already being shown the door on this thread! I almost agree! There really has been no consistency in any of the lines over a 20 min period let alone a full 60 min. Sloppy play in the d zone warrants sitting time but WTF! JJ still plays? Brenden Smith, as much as we all piled on after he signed the big deal, is playing well, at least, miles ahead of JJ. Ok, Im beating the dead horse. Lets hope we can get some of the kids scoring. If that happens maybe we'll have a better attitude on the bench and locker room. It just doesn't look like anyone is having fun playing. Like they're scared to touch the puck! LGR!!!!!

Yah it’s not a fourth line that can set the tempo for the game by coming out hard and crushing a few guys

Whats weird is under AV they did the same thing, and a lot of fans blamed AV. Well new coach, a ton of different players and the same result. Maybe we are just cursed
