I think it helps them ultimately

there's just a difference between us losing a guy like Howden or Lemieux and Tampa losing someone like McDonagh though

- jimbro83

Yeah, it gives them cap relief.

no doubt in my mind that the three defensemen Tampa will protect are Hedman, Sergachev and Cernak

MCD has a clause so they have to protect him right?

part of the reason I had optimisim coming into this short season was that I believed that Shesterkin could be lights out and totally win games on his own

he looked solid in relief the other night, hopefully get gets rolling tomorrow

Let's go with a positive outlook and say the first 8 games will mimic a training camp and after that they issues will be smoothed out and they will get rolling.

Don't care for it. 5 on 5 Mika and Buch are running that line. Put Laf in Kreiders spot and let him play where he is comfortable. Kreider looked really good on the PP, but 5 on 5 its the Mika, Buch show

Edit: Meant to quote your line up.

I like it. Buch is working hard maybe wakes up Strome. And the top 4 D should stay like that.

Yeah. but I'm not sure why we can't have everyone play their position for now.

Laf/Mika/Buch
Panarin/Strome/Kakko
Kreider/Chytil/Gauthier

This just seems like common sense to me.

No point in getting upset about it. It's the way its going to be all season. JJ will never come out of the lineup, no matter how bad he is. I have come to accept it

It really does worry me that we have such similar opinions.
