Good point. Cirelli is probably the only on-roster piece that might make some level of sense here.

Don't need him. Overrated. I wouldn't give much for him.

Question is whether Dubois would be willing to sit on LTIR until the playoffs?

Galactivstone you have been drinking too much Koolaid of the Bolt flavor. You obviously only know about your Bolts. Anyone that actually knows all the teams knows that Dubois is a physical stud player that does it all. Cirelli is good but comparing him to Dubois is laughable.

The stats do not even tell the whole story. Dubois excels at faceoffs, a bull on the boards, and his stats would go up dramatically if he was on another team. Example Detroit pulled the goalie with four minutes left yesterday. Torts did not put Dubois out in those four minutes just to piss him off. Good coaches reward their star players with gravy points but not Torts. He did the same to the Sedins in Vancouver and we all know that was a mistake too.

I agree to a point, the last few minutes of a contested game where you are defending are also the highest source of injury. It just may be that Torts is saving his star players from injury.

From all the trades I have seen proposed this makes more sense than most because CBJ gets a quality center back and no long quarantines will be involved with Canadian restrictions.

I'm willing to admit when I am wrong and I was wrong about Dubois.

After checking his stat sheet, I noticed that he is a lot younger than I thought. For some reason (not doing homework), I thought he was a few years older than he is.

The original reason I said what I did about Dubois is that I was operating under the assumption that Dubois was more fully developed as a player than Cirelli, therefore he was a known quantity, while CIrelli had more room to reach his ceiling of development.

I was wrong. Dubois is only 22 and his stats are pretty sexy, so I take it back.

However, I stand by the opinion that I wouldn't trade a heavy package for him that includes Cirelli and 1st rounders. Not that he's not worth it, but because the Lightning are pretty stacked and the need is not dire enough to justify giving up a ton to get him.

OK, good.
But I have a new wrinkle:
Do the unthinkable and trade Brayden Point for Dubois!!
But since Point > Dubois, Get a 1st and a B prospect coming back to Tampa with Dubois. Tampa gets a Center that in all reality will put up #'s like Point and 2 assets for their pipeline which can certainly use a boost!

That's a tough one. I like Point a lot more than Dubois. Point seems like more of a game-breaker to me, so I am inclined to keep him.

The Bolts cupboards are pretty bare though.

I would bet Dubois #'s would be similar to Point's because of the wingers he would have!

I haven't watched a lot of Dubois. I'd probably have more appreciation if I had watched him firsthand a lot more. Yeah, he doesn't have a lot to work with there in Columbus.

I'd take that deal in a heartbeat, but I think the Columbus GM would have to be on crack to even consider it.

I hate to disagree with u but PLD is just a better player. Unfortunately Bolts other than roster players and this is just about the last year we here in Tampa can keep everyone. Nothing much in AHL or drafted players.

Dubois stood out in some of those games, but I still haven't watched enough of him to put together an informed opinion. I'm talking out of my ass with him.
