Well said.

And I agree to a point, my one outlier would be every shooter in the league now aware they can get a beachball through Andersens 5 hole or under his arm 9/10 times. How do you defend that?

Even tonight he has played what I consider to be well (although when it was Campbell in an identical spot the argument was he hadn't been tested), the 5 hole rears its head and its a 2-1 game. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Blame whoever on D all you want, it will never change the fact that Andersen is simply incapable of making a big save for this team.

He absolutely needs to go.

Relax Connor is a sniper that scores a ton.
D was lazy & was the problem.

The moment Muzzin fumbled that puck it was going in the back. If you think any D can play a flawless game, youā€™re kidding yourself.

Goalies need to make key saves at critical times. This what Andersen has always lacked.

- mcleafs

Iā€™m a goalie in terrible beer league hockey.

You sound like the new guy who plays D and constantly coughs up the puck, screens me, takes terrible penalties, & never ties up his man in front. Then when we lose refuses to take any blame and spouts bullsh*t like ā€œgoalie should stop the shots thatā€™s the goalies job even shots created directly as a result of my mistakesā€.

Good gravy.

Let me start by saying that I think Andersen has been poor for over a year now. When he's got his swagger and his on his game, he's great. One tell is his glove hand droops when he's not on his game. Watch him now - his glove is down and late. He's not poised.

That said, Hellebuyck is making some great saves, BUT the Leafs aren't being given room time and space to get off a good shot. They are still being swarmed and forced in tight, which lets Hellebuyck get down, cover the bottom half of the net, and get his stick on the ice firm. He isn't being forced to be spectacular.

When the Leafs defense is at its porous best, as it often is, the shooter has room to curl, drag, move, skate, aim, and get that shot off with a lot of force. That's hard for a goalie. The problem with the Leafs D is simply gap control. They give way too much time and space to the shooter or even a possibly deflector.

4Runners are great! I had a 92 with east coast rust (bad) that my ex and I used to live van life for 6 months, a decade before it was cool. Went Cape Breton to Vancouver to Manitoba and then drove it to work for a year. Best $1200 Iā€™ve ever spent.
- Byfuglien Ate Me

Lol we had a 93-94 and same thing. Spent $2000 on it and it lasted us 3-4 years before we sold it. Didnā€™t cost a penny after we bought it but the window thing was a pain in the ass. We owned it from 2010-2014ish.

Wife had a 91ā€™ when she was 18 and loved it so she kind forced her way into another one but I loved it when we had it.

He also takes high slapshots at you during warmup, and fires pucks in the net while you are putting the net on its pegs.

Why is it that couches that look good are (frank)ing uncomfortable?

Wife wanted this "modern" matching set and it (frank)ing sucks. Big and ugly with cup holders? Choice comfort.

- gravyface

Huh?

Not for nothing, but, in 'Murica if you have a couch with "cup holders" don't worry about the democrats tax hikes....or comfort.

If like to point out my initial comment was before a goal was scored on him. I also said in one of my comments he was playing what I would consider to be a good game. Could call that love if you wanted. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

The interesting part is Hellebyuck still playing good despite the team playing like complete and total poop in front of him.

The lemmings on here defending Fred when he plays like total poop said that just cannot be done. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
