I don't get it.

If you have a straight up choice. Marner or Dubois, who do you want?

If you consider CAP, Marner at $11m or Dubois at $5m, who do you want?

CAP has been fully weaponized. I love Marner's play. But, how many teams want him as their franchise player?

Based on spatso's take on the Leaf thread, I'm now confident that Marner will battle for the points lead this season.

I'm not saying the Leafs should trade Matthews for Laine, but I'm at least worried about it.

Not even close.

Leafs need to find a power forward that fits with Matthews game.

In the Montreal game Josh Anderson was the horse. Last night it was Brady Tkachuk. Can you be a serious contender in the NHL without a down low power game?

Yes, I love Marner's game. But does he bring enough that helps a team become a contender. If he was a $7m player, he might be the best value in the league.

Yeah the Habs and the Sens are a team that you should model around. Just look at their recent success.

Let's ignore length of contract. In 2 yrs how much Dubois make?

Marner is a 90pts player ffs

You can have the odd player who plays like Marner and still be successful.

But you cant have one on each line.

Nylander's defensive game is < Mitch's.. Now, so far this season Marner has looked pretty bad, and Willy has had some good defensive shifts, and some terrible ones. I think everything will settle back to normal with these guys and we wont see much progression or regression from either.

Why is Hyman not playing top 6 minutes?

He goes to the net and works the corners really hard.

Should be:

Thornton should be sent out to pasture..

Put Mikhevey/Simmonds/Robertson on the second line imo.

I’d put Mikey or Kerplink in for Thornton.

He can play on the 3rd for a bit...

No but no worse than being trolled by Spatso. Cleaning up the dog vomit in my car is more fun than listening to the ultimate slimiest Ottawa troll.

I thought he has been fine there....he will take a while to get going but he has made some great passing plays with his back against the play. Matthews couldn't finish a gift last night.

he will get shifts off, but I am sure a lot of players will get looks next to the big 4.

He just told us the Leafs wont win unless they get players like the Sens and Has have.

Those two teams have been dominant the last few seasons.

This is your typical mode - deflect.

I asked you directly last night to go beyond your blame of Andersen and evaluate the team defence, our lack of pretty much anything 5 v. 5, the d zone net front coverage, and whether we are any "harder to play against".
