Thank god for Carter Hart.

Exactly. 4 shots. Numerous odd man rushes and little pressure

A few thoughts

Good to see just how deep we are at forward paying off. We lose Couturier early in the first, we don’t skip a beat. Lindblom able to step in for him on the PP. Farabee killing penalties.

We’re also well coached. We’re playing a dangerously offensive Penguins team with Crosby and Malkin and every defensive play looked pretty simple and pretty routine in this second period.

I’ve always disliked the lack of respect the Flyers have gotten. Giroux pretty much his entire career by not being noted league wide. How long it took for Couturier to get a Selke. Ivan Provorov being overlooked now as one of the better defensemen in the league. You know who is receiving league wide respect early on his career? Carter Hart. That respect will be infectious and Philly will get that respect league wide for years to come.

Yup.

Those 2 look and sound awkward as well.

Taryn has the shoulders of a professional swimmer.

I miss suave Morganti.

I like the positive vibes. Agreed about hart. The league thinks he’s the real deal.

both of these teams are (frank)ing rough right now, but hart has been the difference compared to whatever abortion jarry was crafting.

im not supremely confident the pens come back in this one, so take this with a grain of salt and no ivory throne sitting, but what worries me is thinking what teams like the islanders or bruins will do to both of these teams if this isnt just the early season lack of structure.

No question about that. The sloppy play on both ends is a very good indicator of a successful future.

They just showed Chara playing for Washington. I couldn’t help to think what we’d look like with a Provy-Chara top line. I’ve got to think fletcher does something about provys pairing by mid year. Ghost is not the answer.

exactly. specifically the isles would already have 5 or 6 on each of these teams right now.

your forward depth is scary but the defense obviously is leaving a lot to be desired.

braun gets overly dumped on, but he is out of his element in that capacity at this stage in his career. although hed probably be better on crosbys wing than rodrigues.

Looks like it. Just saw video showing he was pointing to his right shoulder to the trainer and then he was gone.

He had a shoulder issue last year too didnt he?

Hope they’re just being extra cautious.

Braun is on top pairing by the process of elimination. And he looks like a fish out of water right now. I think they're banking on Ghost coming back after the Chinese Virus protocols.
