I guess they feel defense doesn't matter that much?
Girard and Makar are good players - but as a whole, Colorado's D is mid of the pack at best.. (Leafs defense is arguably better).
Interesting to see how the first weeks of the season will pan out - do we get preseason type games (lack of structure and all offense/no defense?) or will teams directly go into playoff battle mode?

Interesting, I read recently that conspiracy theories tend to find more purchase in lonely minds because they take the place of companionship. Which explains why something as dumb as QAnon actually became a thing among people on their computers at home alone. It makes them feel like they are part of something.

I see a continuum of belief in Trump world. Trump adjacent are those who knew what he was and made a deliberate decision to vote for him to get tax cuts, judges, no Hilary, etc. The core Trump voter bought into his con that their lives would be made better because he would make America white again. They’re obviously different from the hardcore Q types who buy into all the conspiracies and I’m sure that there’s lots of truth in the Sergeant (frank)head’s Lonely Hearts Club stuff. The final Dante ring is inhabited by those militia nuts who believe and grab their guns to make it true.

What unites them all though is the core racist lie that started day one of Trump’s campaign “Mexican rapists and killers” and day one of his administration “Muslim travel ban”.

I also think the conspiracy stuff naturally ramps up as the only explanation as to why Trump failed to make their lives any better and why he lost the election.
