I hope Legault's intention of having a full lockdown won't complicate things for hockey...

there won't be a full lockdown. the optics of allowing millionaires play hockey while keeping people at home would be political suicide

because they're telling people who need to work to stay home and not earn a living while allowing rich people to work (for millions) and fly over the country for entertainment purposes.

They probably will, but it's a tone deaf decision.

people will be mad, no matter what decision is taken, so might as well go ahead with hockey... but yeah, can't argue it isn't a bit tone-deaf loll

Weird. I think in general they are the ones who are pissed off by the measures and don't really care about the virus.

Meh. This whole thing has caused the largest transfer of wealth in human history, so we might as well just let it happen.

also this potential lockdown won't work if they still keep giving only 10 people the vaccine a day.

technically the lockdown should have a positive impact IF everyone actually respects it, even without a vaccine, but with all the family gatherings that happened during the holidays, and travelers coming back from their zero restrictions resorts, I'm not sure it'll be enough

If you needed proof the NHL really is changing, here it is: Per league release -- Discover, Honda, MassMutual and Scotiabank will be the names of the Divisions "for 2020-21 NHL Season"[/img]
