Really suprised Hillis didn't get an invite, very little chance he cracks this roster out of camp this season but he's gonna be a good NHL player

...and a happy new year to you K!

Oui, ils devraient avoir une chance de faire une sortie au premier tour des séries éliminatoires

Based on the reading of a few Leaf fan boy articles about the subject, sounds like Leaf fans are a poop ton more worried about Perry than Habs fans are excited about him. Funny how much fuss a borderline healthy scratch can cause

Perry is Marchandesque in that he can get under opponent's skins. He adds some toughness back to the roster since they lost Domi. It's a great signing for the Habs.

Habs will be a pain in the ass to play against

Also, read somewhere that Bergy tried hard to convince big Z to come to Montreal in the last few days

I posted a link to Renauld LeVoie or whatever saying that. For one year I'd do that over Edmundson and I'm not upset with Edmundson at all. Chara would have made that d physical as (frank)

Yeah I wouldn't necessarily worry about someone who is most likely going to get limited minutes or even be a healthy scratch

Weber, Petry, Chiarot, Edmundson, Romanov and Chara

They both would have been in the regular 6, unless I'm forgetting someone? Mete, Kulak, Juulsen or Fleury wouldn't knock Chara out of the lineup

And damn right I would have been down for bringing in Chara!

Perry will never be on the ice against good players. I hardly think anyone is worried about Perry. The players he lines up against are much more worried about staying in the league.

I just realized the season starts in exactly 2 weeks! I am so excited to how this team will perform! There are a lot of maybes or ifs, but if even just a part of it goes in the right direction, this could be a great season for the Habs.

And yes, I would have taken Chara in the team anytime, he would've been an amazing teacher for Romanov with Weber.

That pace is good enough to make the playoffs most seasons. Without doing the math that's about a 94 point pace over 82 I think

Canucks are a wild card to me, could be awesome and could be very meh. Not sure I have the Flames as high either.

I feel like the Flames have the pieces to be a very good team - it depends if they all perform well enough though which at times they haven't. They have a great combo in goaltenders that I think will help them win tight games

I don't disagree just that they've had most of those pieces (without Markstrom) for a few years and haven't done much. Their d has a lot of youth which is a double edged sword until proven otherwise and Gio isn't getting younger. Could be first in the division and could miss it all. Canadian division, outside of Ottawa, you could make compelling arguments for each team
