Vegas is only a million over the cap right now with a 21 man roster. If theres a taxi squad allowed they probably wont have to trade anyone and can just send people up and down on paper. Tuch is on a great contract, think he would be one of the last people they'd trade. Also only being a million over don't see why they would get rid of his 4.75MM contract, they don't need that much room.

Could see someone like Carrier or Holden being the guys they'd look to move making 1.4 and 1.7 respectively.

AWKWARD!!

Vegas only needs to move $1M to be cap compliant. They are not moving out more unless they wish some space for a deadline move. So they simply can move someone down to the AHL (taxi squad) to be cap compliant if they are unable to make a trade....which is not likely because trading out a million $ of cap should be relatively easy. But it is more fun to speculate on a Patches trade or a MAF trade and do it without Vegas getting fleeced too badly as they were in the Schmidt trade.

If a player waives their initial NMC, then it is null and void, but for 8 special teams it continues to be honoured.

I suspect the comment was referring to the fact that it's actually an 8 team no trade clause, not an 8 team no movement clause
