Hyman is currently set to be a UFA. I don't think The Leafs need to protect him until he signs a new contract prior to the expansion draft. |

Technically you are correct and this is a topic I want to get into after the Expansion series is complete.
Short answer for now is I suspect it will be very rare to see players wait and take contracts after Expansion. |

When looking at the list, leafs would either lose dermott or holl, which makes me believe dermott goes at the deadline for a upgraded rental. If they can make the money work. |

I know Seattle hasn't "selected" from each team yet but, this team is a**. The defense will not save that offense at all. |

We were saying the same thing about the VGK mock drafts. I'd expect some deals to be cut. |

Sean Maloughney: Kraken Expansion Draft - Toronto Maple Leafs - Sean Maloughney
I understand these are only projections based on each teams current roster, but I sure hope for Seattle's sake that they take on bad contracts for 1st rd selections, and ink free agents. They would be far better then this current projection, plus they would have serious futures. |

"Justin Holl: The big 2'4 defender has registered 21 points in a total of 81 NHL career games. Averaged just over 18 minutes a game last season for the Leafs and can be a solid third pairing player."
Sounds like Montreal should trade for him!

I'm sure they will and I'm sure Sean will in the next iteration of this experiment. Just for the sake of discussion:
Bailey-Henrique-Johnson
Sanford-Strome-Hornqvist
Tierney-Compher-Kunin
Bennett-Blueger-Aube-Kubel
Klefbom-Dumba
Zadorov-Miller
Dermott-Fleury
Khudobin
Hill
That's more proven NHL forwards than Vegas started with and I think you can decently compare Vegas's list of proven NHL scorers (Marchessault, Smith, Perron, Neal, and Haula) to this one (Bailey, Strome, Henrique, Johnson, Hornqvist, and Tierney/Compher). |

Bang on. Honestly I'm not too unhappy about the forward group so far but yes expect some big changes between this first version and the one we do say in July.
Colin Miller is forever though, don't you worry.

And that's why your mother never loved you, Sean. Poor decision-making is clearly endemic to your very being. |
