Oh it's always apple pie as well.
But there's always been more than one pie at Thanksgiving, and lately I've been getting whichever kinfolk I spend it with to eschew the pumpkin for something else, or get something else in addition to it. I like key lime when it's still plenty warm outside—like it was this year—cause it has to be kept cold, which is refreshing like ice cream.
I also can't stand pumpkin for Christmas. I'd even rather have mince, but always seek out pecan (again, we also always get apple). I hate everything food/drink related to pumpkin with a passion. It's only good for decoration and use as a projectile. |

There are certain situations where that's not an option. It happened to me once as a teen (not full scale medical but the general idea of it) and I'll never allow it again. For what it's worth at the time I was enjoying my experience greatly and then it just hurt...for a while, even after completion |
