Carol Schram: With NHL season talks stalled, pondering this potential division alignment Return-to-play talks between the NHL and the players have broken off. Coronavirus has halted Canada's World Junior selection camp. But we do have a potential divisional alignment to look at for when hockey gets going again — and it underscores how much tougher the travel will be for the league's Canadian-based teams.

Thx Carol! Canucks are going to get hammered in the Canadian division. Tough for all Canadian teams

TAM is in a hot mess cap wise with only 19/23 signed, zero cap space. VAN right behind them with 23/23 signed. Cernak & Cirelli RFA's. It would be great to be able to do another trade with them.

I didn't get to participate in the discussion last thread, but I'll post this here anyway.

I took a course on the search for life in the universe when I was at UVic. We learned about all the components and conditions necessary for life to exist/flourish/become sentient.

Long story short the math says it's highly likely that other life exists, probably even intelligent life, possibly more intelligent than us.

By the same token the enormity of the universe and the random distribution of elements also says that it is far more likely that we or any other intelligent life will be long dead before we are able to travel the distance it would take to make contact with each other.

Thanks Carol! Great stuff, i really do agree that feast is the right word. It’s almost not fair how imbalanced that division would be. Going to be a weird asterisk season though, how many points could mackinnon get in that division?

Not likely Don...Nucks will be doing the hammering.

Now how about you shut your pie hole and go eat a few hot dogs...

That’s based on a human epistemology that cannot, theoretically or otherwise, interpret another epistemic lens. Nagel’s bat paper is an excellent read/mind bend and available on google, great philosophical premise. Anyway, back to hockey!

Would really be impressed, if Benning could get either of Cirelli or Cernak, he would become the greatest Canucks GM if he could get that done.

Longshot at best, I'd love Cernak. He'd certainly make us better.

Tampa has to do something though.
