The Jets Dylan Samberg was involved in a multi-vehicle accident in North Dakota last night that produced some life-threatening injuries.

Samberg's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening - but still!!!

Here's hoping for a quick and complete recovery for Dylan!

Further to this, four people sent to hospital with serious injuries.

However, the good news, is that Samberg was not injured, and didn't require hospitalization. Great news!

Apparently Samberg's car struck a stopped vehicle which had struck a deer. Seat belt on, and no alcohol involved.

I think that when the Jets have their next Prospects Development Camp, that along with seminars about fitness and nutrition, the Jets should offer defensive driving lessons.

No alcohol which is great but what was his speed? If he was speeding this is far from over. Just hoping all recover first and foremost!!

Fak are most Jets twitter followers depressed and angry.
Jets announce Lowry coach hiring and it’s like a trigger for so many to quickly get on line and dig up whatever they can to spin this as a horrible move.
I honestly feel bad for these people that live like this.

There's so many people out there that are just negative about everything, isn't there?

They mus have a fun filled life being pee'd off about everything! Like everything!!! Anger, anger, anger!

Some can find a problem if the sun shines. Or when Santa Claus comes! They need to take a happy pill. Or drink.

Well, we can't hire a former NHL player with over 1000 games under his belt. We should have hired a dorky 30 year old who is an analytics whiz.

I've done plenty of driving in NWO and Manitoba. This is something that happens often, and I consider it more luck than skill that I haven't crashed as a result of the wildlife.

Hope all involved make full recoveries.

I’ve driven pretty much every day since I’ve as 18. Do you think someone should hire me to help run a NASCAR team based off that?

So. With Tampa being 2M over the cap, and Cerelli and Cernak still unsigned...... Who should the Jets target. The options on D are non-existant, but a guy like Gourde would fit in the Jets cap space. If not Johnson or Killorn with retained salary.

Gourde is a no-brainer, but so is Cirelli.
Anyone else doesn’t interest me. We don’t need help on D, we need to let the kids play.
We need help at forward.

In my opinion I don't think Santa should be doing anything this year. He would be the ultimate super spreader of Covid-19.

In my opinion this just guarantees Adam Lowry's lifetime contract with the Jets. From my perspective his contract will be the worst ever in Jets history.

The good news is if last season’s down year becomes the norm, he actually can’t get paid enough to be a big problem. That’s a 3mil ceiling.

Wheeler and soon Pionk are the real problems on the cap

If I didn't read so many of your posts, I would say I'd be surprised. But you are who you are - against everything Jets - especially MANAGEMENT - unless it's Copp/Petan or some other 3rd/4th/or minor league player.

Don't worry about Lowry - if he's not playing up to what is expected - he's gone. No better than last year's Entry Round - forget the pts. - he's gone. Dave Lowry is a pro and so are the Jets - don't play up to expectations - there's another guy waiting to take your place.

Wheeler and Pionk are the real problems on the Jets cap hit??? Let's get serious! Wheeler is still an elite player - Pionk is an RFA for gawd's sakes in one year. Don't like him. don't sign him! Problem???

I'm guessing Rexy sees Pionk as a cap problem cause he thinks Pionk is going to get overpaid due to feeding the puck to Laine on the powerplay and won't be worth the contract he's going to get.

This is correct.

Pionk at 3mil? Sign him again until he’s like 32. He’s got value as a player, and is a perfect chaotic 4/5 on a contender, especially with the firepower we have up front opening up ice for him to attack on the cycle.

Pionk at 6mil? Walk away.

I really like Pionk right now. I’m also very sure I won’t like him at all on his next contract.

Wheeler is no longer an elite forward, and holding on to the idea that he is is part of the problem with the Jets right now.
He’s currently a strong 2nd line winger, whom is likely slowly trending down, and should be treated as such. Wheeler with Stastny and Connor(or other shooter) hidden on line 2 or 3 is gold.
If the Jets keep running him for 20 minutes per game on the top line, letting him get massacred, and putting him with linemates that have weaknesses his game simply can’t cover... it’ll be a much faster decline

We're going nowhere with Pionk as our PP quarterback. Teams don't fear his shot.

Lowry is already overpaid by $2 million and it's a problem, his half a mill raise only exacerbates the issue.

Which sucks, because his shot is actually pretty good. He just makes decisions so slowly, he runs out of space, and has to waffle it from the line.
He’d be best served in Laine’s spot on unit 2. Let him use his mobility to his advantage, rather than being the fixed point at the top of the umbrella
