Ben Shelley: Hunter Drew is off to a great start in Slovakia

This is great news! I am from PEI and have seen Drew play a ton of games when he was with the Islanders in the Q. He dominated with size and his hands were actually impressive for his size. He is no top 4 NHL D but I do hope he becomes a long term bottom pairing defensive d man.

If I’m not mistaken he also led the league in penalty minutes... he’s a big boy.. i’m telling you he could be perfect as a 4,5 or 6 ...

I am not sure if he lead the league but he was defintely up there! He did not shy away from any fight in the Q. I didn't get to see much of him with the Gulls last year but I think he could grow to 3rd pair shut down, Josh Manson style D.

I don't know...I haven't seen much of him. He was in PEI for the Canada vs. Russia series 2 years ago but nothing since.

Honestly the player I expect the biggest jump from out of anyone on the entire roster this year is Comtois.
