I remember a lot of overreacting around here the day Shero signed Tanger to that contract. It was too much! hahaha...one of the best values in the league now and the past few seasons. Its just too f'n bad about his health luck. Sids too....and Geno. They might have 4 rings instead of 3 if it wasnt for the sh!t injury luck. Certainly not that far fetched.

Letang is awesome. Period.

I've always liked Duncan Keith's game but he dropped quite a bit. Doughty has always been a douche and I wouldn't want him anywhere close to the Penguins.

Letang is elite and also headpiece prone to making bad decisions at crucial moments, how come both cant be true?

This. Same goes for Sid and Geno. Letangs get noticed more because we he makes a mistake no one is behind him to cover up. Most times when Sid and Geno make a mistake the defense is still behind them.

I don't think anyone would argue that Letang is some uber cerebral player and his turnovers are a figment of people who don't like him's imagination. The point has always been that his great plays vastly outweigh his poor decisions, so focusing on the turnovers to discredit him as a player is stupid.

Yes, I supose we should not stone the local prophet. Yet we do, unfortunately. He is a fantastic skater and very strong on his skates.

Its funny, I come here to chat with you guys about all sorts of things from hockey to food to movies to politics and when I was last posting here a few hours ago there wasn't much bad going on... Did things get so bad after I signed out today they had to delete a bunch of comments including mine?... I didn't say anything bad. It's weak to do that if things didn't get bad.

And nateca44, I saw your last comment to me on my way to playing hockey and didn't have time to respond. I apologize for assuming you were a diehard based on your comments.

I mean I'll get ticked occasionally at some of the turnovers our star players do sometimes but that's just because I'm emotionally set in the game at that time. I'm not asking for a trade the next day lol, I'm over it pretty quick haha.

Same man, I thought they were good conversations. I get this is a hockey board but damn, thats a very important conversation. Its all good man, I'm sure theres others that think Im a diehard for Trump. I just love this country and our constitution. Trump is the only president who stood up for it lately.

Anyways, I'm hoping that we get back to hockey just like the rest. If both Letang and Malkin have great years this year, Do they get offered contracts? Does Malkin retire a Penguin? I believe he does.

Great elite d-man and one of the best ever at his position.

Having said that, his Halloween costumes are questionable. LOL.

I feel like half of our teams Halloween costumes are questionable haha.

I’m just not a big Halloween guy. It’s such a try hard holiday. But I’m not really one to talk because I’m a huge St Pat’s guy which is also a huge try hard holiday.

I think they get offered contracts regardless. Malkin will have to opportunity to retire a Penguin if he wants to. Letang maybe gets less of the Penguin for life treatment and gets a good offer and told to shop around if he thinks he can get more and circle back for right of first refusal.

I don't think Letang retires a Penguin, but I do think he finishes out his contract. I only see him getting moved if by the deadline in the 21/22 season the Pens are out of the playoff race.

I'm glad you actually watched it. I hope you atleast got my point that IF any of what they are saying was true than its a huge hit to our democracy. Feel free to message me if you want.

I would have thought RW wrote this article if Christian Ehrhoff wasn't on this list...

I saw that the other week. I really don’t know how you can consider a 1 year contract a top 5 worst contracts. Really bad contracts have long term implications. Ehrhoff is one of the most irrelevant penguins in franchise history specifically because his contract was so inconsequential

The Seattle blogger is insane. Had us exposing Dumoulin over Pettersson and Mattheson (!!!) and still elected to take Blueger.

It was a “Penguins fan” who supposedly gave him the list. We need to know who in the hell would ever expose Dumoulin over Matheson.

I mean, I really don’t know what’s worse. Protecting Matheson over Dumoulin, or the Seattle blogger picking Blueger over Dumoulin.
