Carol Schram: Can Elias Pettersson raise his game, claim a $2 million bonus next season? Already climbing into the ranks of the NHL's elite players, Elias Pettersson has a rare opportunity to claim a $2 million bonus payment if he claims a spot in the Top 10 next season.

Cheers for the great blog as per usual Carol.

At 22 I think i was a dirt bag, travelling through Asia.
First live game was vs the Flames in the old coliseum, early 90s. Vancouver lost but it was fun nonetheless.

I don't think Petey is top 10 scoring this year.
Hope i'm wrong tho <--- fan boy

Thanks Carol.

What was I doing at 22? I think I was helping build Trevor Linden's house in kits.

I may have been 21 then...losing track.

Better for the majority of the season?

Or are you cherry picking the one or two games that Toffoli and Boeser player together because of injury?

Do you truly think the defense is worse then last year?
That retaining Tanev and Stecher instead of making the upgrade and bringing OJ up would have been better?

Goaltending could be just as good or far worse... that's the only position I'll agree with you about.

Schmidt/OJ I’ll take over Tanev/Stecher

Toss in another kid to develop & it is moving forward. We couldn’t expect otherwise.

People treating promoting prospects who look ready as a step backwards is pretty funny. Same people who complain about long high salary contracts as holding the Canucks back.

Even when they are wrong, they will find a way to discredit it.

At 22 I was in Campbell river on my 1st camp job at Elk falls as an apprentice steamfitter.

As a kid I remember the Jr Vancouver Nats at the coliseum. Nat Bailey the White Spot owner. Also Capilano stadium later renamed as Nat Bailey stafium. Car hops & headlights for service.

My 1st Canucks games were at the PNE forum where I played my 1st 2 years of hockey.

One word...fickle lol

Seriously though it was inevitable & wtf not anyways. Don’t know what we have if they don’t play. Is it me or don’t other teams do this? 😂

Sister in law has covid. Should say has tested positive for Covid.
Health care worker. The other 22 people she works with have also all tested positive.

So Hoglander's last game before his loan to the SHL expires is Dec 12th or 13th. He's expected to head to Vancouver immediately after that to start his quarantine and wait for Canucks camp.

Sorry to hear that man.
Inevitable is some ways, but sucks.
Hopefully she makes a speedy and full recovery.

I can't see the season starting before Mid Jan. Camp's are usually a month long.

Thanks

She has been only showing very mild symptoms for the past 5 days she said. A tiny bit tired and the occasional sore throat.

She's pretty healthy. A couple of her older co workers have been admitted to the hospital though.

Wife was saying that today in the Winnipeg Sun, they had 12 pages of obituaries. Normally they have one.

Got to have a few ex games. How do you try out line ups to see who makes the teams?

Covid world & more expenses. I only guess no ex games. Intra-squad games & expanded rosters be my guess.

Camp seems to get shorter and shorter before they jump into preseason games over recent years even without covid. The more difficult cut decisions are made during those games. Preseason is still camp more or less.

Wow, that is awful news, hope everything works out and there are no long term effects for all infected.
