Need to stop worry about Captain optics...there is no way with the flat cap (even with an elastic cap) there is a need to protect Anders Lee...that contract is going to get really bad....He won't be picked.....explain to your leader-you guarantee he will not be picked.
Mayfield has one of the best contracts in league not a chance he would survive expansion draft, Seattle can flip him in a heartbeat-he is a must protect
If you go 4 D, you can protect Leddy....his Cap hit is not horrible but (salary will be crazy 7M)-but we already know he would be tough to trade....not much reason for Seattle to take him....I would have protected Toews
I would not protect Eberle either.....Bailey is the better overall player and easier to move around the lineup.....If someone wants Eberle with his contract-so be it-pretty sure he won't be picked

Beau/Pelech and Sorokin will need extensions with significant increases Isles have to lose a salary in this draft to fit under cap:

Pulock,Pelech,Mayfield
Either Protect Leddy....or Bailey and 1 minor Leaguer possibly Koivula or Greer...
May also protect Johnston-not because he is special-but because he would get picked and Isles need to lose Salary
Expose:
Varmolov,Boychuk,Eberle,Lee, Ladd,Komorov, Clutterbuck,Hickey, and either Leddy or Bailey
Right now it is expensive to Salary Dump.....Expose all these contacts and hope Seattle helps us

Isles will expose Lee, Bailey, Eberle bc of their contracts & age and will def protect Barzal, Beau, Nelson, JGP, Leddy, Pulock, Pelech, Mayfield.
