And yet over the the last three years Gallagher has outscored them all at even strength. It might be an off the board pick but for my #5 spot I wanted to give some love to the player for what he has accomplished.

While I certainly don't think he deserves to be in the top-5, Gallagher doesn't get enough credit for being the outscorer he consistently is. Guy is top notch.

Marner is better than Svech and Gallagher.

The key word is currently. As much as Gallagher has put up the “stats” at one point he was benched was he not? He isn’t as consistent as other wingers in the east. Hall being on the list is tough as he’s been out of the east for 2 years and was playing in the desert! The prospect alone for playing with Eichel makes him leap a ton of wingers in the east but he currently has done anything in the east the last 2 years. His last year in the east was 2018 and.... well..... um...... he was MVP on the NJ squad. That should tell you he’s one of the best wingers alone. But again it’s not current as he hasn’t started playing yet.

I don't get the hate for Gallagher. He's a 5 v 5 monster, his corsi numbers are sky high, ESPECIALLY compared to some of the other wingers mentioned by some guys. He's literally pure heart incarnate, and his numbers come DESPITE not playing on a line with elite scoring threats. Not many other wingers can say that.

I'm a Leafs fan and not only do I not think Marner deserves to be in the top 5 wingers in the East, if you gave me the chance to trade him straight up for Svechnikov, I'd do it 10/10 times.
