I think I'm with a bunch in the board that says he can suck an egg. We have plenty of internal 4th line plug options. I'd just rather have PDG, Howden, and even possibly Smith down there, which doesn't account for the longshot that Barron makes the roster.

Barron likely isnt ready for the jump to the NHL. Furthermore his salary bonus will add to the already inflated number we have. I could see some combination of Smith, Howden, Blackwell or Rooney on that 4th line.

Like most players they always think they are worth more, this guy seems to think because he throws a few hits and has a fight here and there, it's worth 2 mil. Are you kidding me! we can get someone else for under a million to do what he does. It's nice to see the Rangers wising up with some of these contracts. How Strome can ask 5.7 when for the past 5 years he's been less than average as a center. His numbers are a result of playing with The Bread Man. My hope is the arbitrator comes in over the walk away number this way we can give him the 3.6 because I don't think there is any team out there willing to give him more then that.

Aren't the bonuses only worrisome if the player achieves them? If so, that would mean it's been a good year.

If bonuses are a worry no matter what, then you have to evaluate the possibility of Tarmo or K'Andre being on the team as well.

Even though the bonuses arent paid out until the end of the year and the actual penalty (if there is one) doesnt physically affect the cap until next year, when the season starts they have to be cap compliant and treat it like all the bonuses will max.

Eventhough its physically impossible as both LAF and Shesty will be competing for the Calder.

do me a favor

find the local rope store near your home, get a piece of rope about 5 feet long and tie a loop around the end of it

then, go to the rickety stool store, the rickety stool store is always right next door to the rope store (it's a political thing)

then, once you get home, what you wanna do is put the loop of that rope around your neck and tie the other end of the rope somewhere really high. Then stand on your rickety stool and let the stool drop from under you.

after you do all that let us know how you made out

(thanks Norm)

Ideally we wont know and it will be shrouded in an air of mystery. Almost like Schrodinger's cat.

Realistically Lemeiux is a 4th liner. I guess it depends how much people want to pay for a 4th liner

$1.2MxLemieux <<<<<< $2MxFast

Also depends on what kind of 4th liner you want.

Agree with Tony here. $1.25 over 2 and be done. Expose him and likely not deal with him the 2nd year

Honestly, I could care less about Lemeiux. He really doesn't do anything good

I think you misread my post. I was saying I would give Lemieux one dollar and twenty-five cents. Over as long as you want, I guess.

He proves that a human being can be born if you jizz into the holding tank of a port-a-potty, which is kind of an impressive scientific breakthrough. Don't sell his importance short.

Lemieux is not a great player.

However, he is gritty and makes the Rangers harder to play against. We need MORE players like Lemieux, hopefully some of these kids will step up! For now though, he is a necessary signing.

I agree he is gritty but i'd disagree on the claim that he makes us harder to play against
