Not sure how you define quality, but their new group of 4th liners in a step down from what they had last year. It's not a big step down, but Jankowski and Reider are better than who they brought in.

At least it'll probably look like they're trying harder.

The Janitor hasn't done anything in 2 years, and Reider is a PK specialist only at this point. Considering they both signed league minimum deals to hope to continue their careers its tough to say anyone isn't a potential upgrade. Jank is a player brought in by prior management so no ties, Reider has been bouncing around since he entered the league, he's on his last chance deal now. Likely to be playing overseas next year.

You have to be Joking. Janko was by far the best pick from his draft class and Reider was the reason that Drai played so much better 2 years ago and absolutely disappeared last year.

They made up the best 4th line in hockey and will be severely missed.
