Would be awesome to see him make a good pairing with Trouba

That would be a great 1st pair if Tony doesnt miss a beat on the left

offensive zone starts is the key

if they can keep Tony D to at least 55% of his zone starts in the offensive zone, I think he'll thrive

and then let Lindgren get the majority of the defensive zone starts

Well, Lindgren will be with Fox, its likely that JJ will take the defensive zone starts.

I don't anticipate JJ playing a whole lot except for PK

Lindgren gonna be a well over 20 minute a game guy I think

back to zone starts though, look how Winnipeg used Pionk and how he thrived last season

he went from 44% of this zone starts being in offensive zone with the Rangers to 55%
of them with the Jets https://www.hockey-refere.../players/p/pionkne01.html

this is how the Rangers need to do it with Tony D to get the most out of him I think

he's going to struggle on his off side in the defensive zone, just put him in a position to succeed is all I ask

Unlike the Knicks and NBA players, All Hockey players WANT to play for the Rangers! Original 6 mentality because its not our rich winning tradition- He will sign!! I have no doubt.

Honestly I am not sold on this. Part of me honestly believes he will open up opening night as Trouba's partner.

Unless the Rangers are sold on ADA playing the left side. The only other options right now are Smith, Miller or him. Why I feel it will happen

Bitetto has as much of a chance as JJ IMO

If JJ is on the ice anywhere close to the amount of time that would be dictated by being Trouba's partner, he will get run out of town by game 30.
I suspect Smith to have a chance to prove someone else can play with Trouba better than he can.

I’ve read elsewhere that the first approx. $6.1M of performance bonuses are exempt from the cap. Is that not correct? If it is correct then only $3.9M would be applied to the cap if $10M was reached. I’m confused.

Has it been confirmed that he's going to play next season on the off wing? I may have missed that, but if true would be VERY helpful.

Well, if ADA is going to play on the left side, then who plays on the right side until Nils moves up in March?

Nam and/or Stinky, duh

I actually think they stick with the trio on the right side for a good portion of the season. Have a lot of young guys that can slot in for the time being on the left, if they don't actually upgrade the top pairing guy.
