Yeah this is a perfect signing for the right value. Exactly what this team needs, kudos to Dorion. The 'upgrades' to the D core and G position are, IMO, far more suspect.

I wonder if the 3 year term had any reason for dadanov signing with a team like Ottawa who is not exactly a powerhouse.

Obviously tough to know what other teams were offering, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me. That being said, a three-year term on a consistent 25 goal guy is hardly an over-commitment.

#Sens are still working on some moves with this roster through trade or free agency. Plus negotiating continues with RFA’s

This is a very clever signing by Dorion.

Several thoughts come to mind.

First, I think Stutzle is being penciled into a centre ice position.

If the Sens are not playoff contenders (most likely) Dadenov becomes a great trade deadline asset.

Finally, it looks like the Sens will start the season dressing four Russian players. It has always been my belief that Russians like playing in team situations where there are other Russian players and families within the overall team framework.

A+ for Dorion.

We just paid under 6, for a top line winger on great term.

I’d have to agree that this has to be one of the best, if not the best bargain deals on the market.

Let’s get our Siberian line going!

HAHA! Be prepared to part ways with Chabot and Tkachuk for those returns!

Good signing that allows Sens to reach cap floor. Expect a couple more cap bargains since Ottawa still has room.

Hell no. Were a rebuilding team it's to add to what we have not to trade away our players some teams are strapped with minimal cap space. I'm sure some prospects and draft picks will do lol

Did not expect this at all. Rumor Chart people also didn't even have Ottawa on the list. I was thinking Buffalo. I hope Duclair circles back to Ottawa.

Point, Barzal, and Dubois are pretty much untouchable....or so expensive that it's not worth it.

i'd rather just offersheet sergachev Cernak or cirelli

no thanks on Laine

Debrusk would be a solid add....could probably get him for a 2nd and a prospect

A little late in his career for that label I think. And he's been in the NHL for 3 years.

But I still like the signing.

No one has cap space just wait until beginning of the season and sign guys for cheap or get them in trade for nothing.

He likely won’t be a 28 goal guy, but highly doubt he’ll turn into a 12 goal guy either. As long as he’s in the 20s I’ll be happy. Plus, he’ll likely share a line with Tkachuk, who’s no slouch.

"LeBrun: his agents Mike Liut and Andy Scott do confirm that it probably would be mutually beneficial to both the player and to the team if he is traded and that there is clear communication between them and Kevin Cheveldayoff, the GM of the Winnipeg Jets, about this."

Maybe Dorion is talking? Laine to OTT?
