Not really. It's a 1-way contract, but the full amount could be reassigned to the AHL (or however they're going to manage that this year) |

Low risk signing at 1yr and under $1M. 6’3” 201lbs winger that can be physical and shown he will fight when called upon is something that leaf fans have been calling for. Looks like top 6 will be elite skill and speed and trying to mould the bottom 6 into some form of big physical grinding style (Simmonds, Engvall, Vessey, Spezza) of play with a sprinkling of skill (Robertson and Kerfoot).
There’s still work to be done to make this team cap compliant and balanced and it wouldn’t surprise me one but to see Dubas try to move out any/all of Kerfoot, Engvall, Dermott, and Holl while trying to bring in bigger players/vets on short contracts - Thornton,Perry, Weegar etc |
