Let Cam play with Curran and he can play the RS as well. Curran is said to be a real force on the PP as well.

Gudbranson for Shattenkirk and what a 5th round pick? Solid deal.

Well. Very interesting couple of days for the Ducks. The most interesting part is that he seems to valuing dmen over fowards. Shattenkirk, Drysdale are being brought in to sure up the backend on the right side. While Eric Gubranson being traded the day before. I didn't think Gubranson was the problem. But maybe he wasn't the solution either.
But there has to be some plan to improve the power play. Or maybe be a little more balanced on the backend for match ups. Being heavy on the right side with Manson and Gubranson and fast on the left with Lindholm and Fowler made thing easier for other teams to defend. So this should be a good thing. And Derek Grant always seems to fit well with the Ducks. I don't think anyone is worried about his production. Just the contract. 1.5 Million. I think its ok. Definitely worse contacts on the Ducks roster. So I'm not going to sweat it.
Looking foward, I hope Bob Murray's long term plan has too account for growth of the young players. If your a playoff team you want the best 20 players on the ice. But its different now. Player development is the most important thing now. And second is our draft position. We need these prospects too continue to grow. And we need to add to the total amount and quality of the prospect pool. Its gotta happen. No matter what.
And the real trick being how do you keep the fan base engaged while going through a pandemic and recession while doing a rebuild. Yep. Its definitely interesting.
