Well if they moved Willy to either of the Wild or Flyers cap would be coming back. I think LA is the only team that maybe can give up non cap assets back. For the Petro thing to even be considered more money needs to go out the door (Kerfoot+Aj)

I don't see Petro coming to the Leafs anyways, I think family decision will be to stay in STL for the 8 years in the 7.7-8 million per range

Oh i dunno maybe our young dmen? Provorov Sanheim and Myers but knowing Dubas hes probably more interested in Ghost since he likes his dmen to be incapable of defending.

Either way Flyers wont trade for Nylander because of the cap and even if they had the room I wouldn't part with any of the first three Dmen. Leafs are now in the position Philly was in 10 years ago, trying to get by on patch work D.

So the Flyers, who have no cap space, will be trading for Nylander with no big hit going to Toronto so that Toronto can free up space for Pietrangelo...makes sense.

Leafs need depth, grit and defense. If i remember correctly there were only like 2-3 goals scored in the CBJ series that didnt come from forwards named JT Matthews and Nylander.

I'm aware that JT has a NMC. And that Marner is untradeable. That's my point. Ideally you dump one of them, add a true 1D, and maintain some forward depth. But they can't. So they have to compromise on depth to add a 1D.

Put him on a team like TOR he bounces back. Doughty tried to do too much the past couple of years due to his line mates and him feeling he needed to do more than he should have. Get him better line mates and he’s not spending all his energy trying to play both sides to make up for the crappy other guy.

Get the guy a linemate so it gets all the pressure off of him.
