Can't do it... We need all the offense we can muster.. So really Drysdale checks all those boxes and is RHD.

Plus with 2 other high picks... A Dman that slots just below Sanderson could be available later...

If they draft another left shot defenseman..... Sanderson us a nice player and if the Ducks weren't so unbalanced on the back end the Ducks would be in an enviable position because they could be in a position to draft either Drysdale or Sanderson.

Sanderson is the fastest rising player in this years draft, he is also one of the youngest. Some NHL scouts have him ranked third due to his play as captain of Team USA in his last 2 tournaments. He should be off the board before the Ducks pick at 6 but if he isn’t grab him. Sanderson will be the best d man in the league in 5 years.

Sanderson is one of three players scouts seem to love that I have in my do not touch in the top 10. Yes it’s always encouraging to see a player rise up the rankings in the back half but what’s concerning is that this talk of him inside the top 10 and even potentially being the 1st D picked started after his year had already ended. So is he the D that was projected 10-15 when the season ended or is he the bonafide star he’s now made out to be.

Personally I lean toward the 10-15 guy as I also believe part of the reason for his meteoric rise is due to the US media pumping the tires of the top rated American prospect.

I’m not saying he won’t be a solid D but I would really hesitate passing up on the available talent that the top end of this draft oozes.

If the Ducks really like Sanderson, I'm hoping they can trade down and get some extra picks, pretty sure he'll still be available around pick 8 or 9.
