Montreal doesn't need the cap space anytime soon, so Alzner is probably out. They won't be willing to give up a 1st round pick for his contract, and the Kings shouldn't consider taking it for anything less.

Coburn doesn't really solve anything for the Lightning. They need to move players like Johnson, Gourde, Killorn, and/or Palat. Coburn is just a drop in the bucket. Additionally, the Kings don't really need defensive depth, especially on the left side. Brining on Coburn just blocks a player like MacDermid or Clague from getting in the lineup.

Moore has too much term remaining on his deal for the Kings to consider taking him. Two years max, as kids like Vilardi, Anderson, Clague, Anderson-Dolan, etc. will need extensions in 2022.

If the Kings are looking at overpaid players from the Atlantic, they should look at players like Ristolainen from Buffalo or Palat from Tampa. Both have only 2 years remaining on their deals at a $5.5Mish cap hit, and unlike the other guys mentioned, the Kings could actually use the help at the positions they play.

I love #55 on Buffalo and I think a change of scenery is just what he needs and like you say he helps fill a need and he also is pretty chippy which in this era counts as toughness.

Sure, it will be nice to get a 1st round pick and quality prospect from GMJR as incentive to take JJ.

None. Please stop. No one wants to be on a non-contender. Save doe. Groom the kids and give them a taste next season here and there. We are a rebuild and transition team. Out with the old in with the new. We still have stupid contracts lingering and old players. Like Jim Fox said, next season will be the same as this. Unless we dump Rob Bloke & Puke R. and get a real GM to kill it, then its samo samo people. We need no fillers bs contracts from the east. Just stop.
