I'm not quite as sold on Georgiev as some. He's not especially big for a tender and his numbers haven't been too impressive.

Still young though and with upside... but I'd prefer Kuemper/Elvis/Korp.

Raanta is smallish and seems to be injury prone, so I would definitely pass on him.

I'd prefer Korpisalo over Georgiev as well.
But if Leafs replace Andersen, I'd like them to replace Campbell as well and have 2 potential starters battle it out (e.g. Korpisalo and Georgiev)

The NHL is in big trouble. They need fans. NBA, MLB and NFL all make way more in tv money and can afford to do it. NHL is much more reliant on attendance.

That gives him huge value. He's the cheapest goalie out there by far. Darcy Kuemper, who I would like, makes 4.5 million next year more in actual cash. That's a big ouch for the broke-ass Coyotees.

I'd prefer Korpisalo over Georgiev as well.

Not huge value since there are so many goalies on the market and it’s only a good deal for one year. It helps a lot but don’t expect a ransom back.

Freddie's only owed 1M in base salary which makes him very attractive to teams on a budget. The thought is you can squeeze some nice assets out of said teams.

Leafs likely won't re-sign him next year so why not use him to acquire assets that help shore up other needs. Replace him with someone as good as or near as good as him if you can: Kuemper/Elvis/Korp/Markstrom/Georgiev(?).
