Darcy Kuemper (4.5/2yrs), Jacob Chychrun ($4.6M/5yr)

Arizona does it to shed salary and they receive a starting goalie only earning $1M in salary this year.

I wonder what's wrong with being top heavy?

It's gonna be tricky if Leafs really want to go down this road... boom or bust...

Even saying Petro wants to be a Leaf... What happens if it gets into a bidding war.. is the desire to go home.. greater than the extra scratch and playing for a contender. I'm thinking both St Louis and Vegas are better situated for deep cup runs than the Leafs are currently.

But I would absolutely do the other trade. Not so sure Arizona would, though.

We'd need the LTIR relief to make it all work money-wise.

I believe there may be some LTIR repercussions i am currently unaware of though.
This is pie in the sky dreaming though, I don't know how the ducks value manson vs nylander... and I know Zona likes Kuemper and Chyrchun hence their current new contracts.. but they are stuck and I think a rookie interim GM like sullivan will want to please owners right now. Freddy would be a great replacement for this year for them to remain ... ahem.. competitive.

BUT, really appreciate the effort, you get an A for that!

Wouldn't split up the core 4 yet...if Petro is going to be too expensive I would pass reluctantly and just go after one or two lesser defense by making space via Kerfoot, Anderson, Johnsson, Holl or Dermot......getting rid of Nylander or Marner would just have everyone saying down the road.....our offense is not strong enough

I don't think they do, though. People on here keep saying that LTIR doesn't help anymore or something. I ain't no expert on the subject.

Also, I think the Yotes hired a GM the other day, and Sullivan is now AGM and is heading up their draft.
