A lot of misinformation being tossed around right now, and Jeremy Rutherford and Andy Strickland have somewhat conflicting versions of what is going on. Oh, and Eklund, Pietrangelo has never said he would like to play in Toronto or Vegas - those are just two of the teams thought to be interested if he makes it to free agency (and he is from the Toronto area). Both could obviously use him, but both have cap issues that would have to be addressed.

I like how you refer to him as "The Alex" . He isn't the only Alex in town. There's Alex Ovechkin, the very underrated Alex Iafallo, and of course King Alex Lafreniere. And others. Anyway, simple thing is to find out where he was born and link him there. So Al Pietrangelo to Toronto, Tay Hall to Calgary, Jon Gaudreau to Philly, maybe Malkin goes to be the MAN in the KHL. It all makes sense...

The Jets would love to get Petro but they wouldn't give him the term he would want. Also unless he's tired of whats happening in the USA he wouldn't want to come to Winnipeg. Petro will have a lot of choices.

What happened? They can't fit him under the cap because he wants more - and do you blame him based on his 6.5m cap hit?

Who wants him? Every team in the NHL

Who can afford him? DET, OTT, LAK, NJD.....how many more? He won't go to any of these teams (unless they give $11m and they have chances at a cup). I have a feeling he will go to Toronto or a low tax state (Vegas, Dallas, Florida)

Blues need to pay Petro. Parayko is a fine replacement on the 1st line but what happens to the 2nd unit. Faulk is terrible and cannot should not be trusted to take over Paraykos minutes.

Who would be the next Blues captain? Ror is a likely candidate but is to new to the team. Steen is on his way out. Schenn might be an option but doesn’t seem right. Blues need to sign Petro.
