Hell no to this. Why would the Wings pay to do Carolina a favor and not only take one bad contract but two? I wouldn't even take that deal if Carolina was the one giving those picks. Carolina got a 1st round pick to buyout one year of Marleau but you expect the Wings to pay to take on 2 contracts. Unless they are giving the Leafs 1st round pick or a very good prospect/young player, i hope Yzerman would hang up the phone.

I've been reading a lot about teams trying to move contracts to create space or cut salary. Problem is, if EVERY team, as it seems, is trying to clear cap space and cut salary, who is there going to be to trade with? Cap/salary dump deals are gonna be hard to make when everyone is trying to do it. There's gonna have to be a lot of creative hockey deals made instead if teams wanna move on from players.

IF they could get rid of Dzingel and Neidereitter, see whether they could get Gauthier and/or Saarela back. Worst case Ontario they're no better than Dzingel and Neidereitter, but cheaper.

I think they should be looking at Arizona and Kuemper. TML 1st, NYR 2nd and Reimer should get it done.

Why not trade Mrazek or Reimer and go after Georgiev? He'll be cheaper than Kuemper and is younger.
