hahaha

Luckily you're not the GM...

With flat cap for foreseeable future, revenues way down, teams wanting to cut expenses and so much uncertainty GM's are bound to make dumb moves. They make them in normal times, let alone these times.

Does anyone think replacing Tanev with an AHL call up is really helping the team win?

Like you said with the flat cap, revenues down, I even think some of the big money teams are sweating a little. Could be a wild off-season.

We'd probably be interested in Murray for futures but Rutherford probably wouldn't send him to Raleigh.

He'd probably win the Vezina with the Canes.

Yeah there’s no way almost 7m in cap could get a more impactful player

Jim needs to take the L on a Murray trade and just try to get a 2nd rounder. The last thing we need to let him go to arbitration and no one do anything, then just expose him in the expansion draft.

How good of a prospect is Lijegren for TOR? Is him for Murray a fair deal? Does TOR regard him too highly? Is he a nobody?

I dont think they're (org and fans) as high on him as they used to be. So that indicates to me he's not developing the way that was figured when drafted. That's all pure speculation on my behalf and in saying all of that, a quick glance at his stats shows his AHL numbers for a D-man were pretty strong this past season.

You aren’t getting a prospect of that tier for Murray.

People are just impatient with prospects. He just put up 30 points in 40 games in the ahl. For dy+3 d he just had similar production to brannstrom timmins and bean. And similar to Hronek the year before. Toronto would be wise to hang on to him unless they are absolutely blown away with an offer.

Agree. The Toronto media has been impatient with him but all signs point to progression and for all we know Dubas is happy with him amd plans to keep him. Murray won't fetch him

I wouldn’t call getting a 2nd for Murray and L at all personally. I do not think Murray is worth a 1st at all. A 2nd at best but I think getting a 3rd isn’t even an L. Like I said yesterday now people are saying the only way Rutherford wins the trade is if he gets a 1st but 3 weeks ago on these same boards many many people said they would be fine getting a 3rd for Murray

I wouldn't call it a loss either, but I think Jim is dead set on getting a 1st back. I'd even be happy to get a young RFA in return that is one of those "fresh start" type of players.

In an 88 million dollar and rising cap world Brandon Tanev is a valid contract at 3.5 Million

You can't blame GMs for not seeing this coming

RW needs to stop beating these dead horses
