Some guys find it easier to go crashing into the boards or dropping fists with some of the toughest men in the world, rather than admit they have a problem
Good on Bobby |

Tough choice between the 3, but I remember watching that game just because Ryan was coming back. Amazing then, amazing now. |

It takes a lot of courage to admit you have a problem and seek help for it. It takes even more courage to do so publicly. Good on him for stepping up and using the NHL platform to show others that it's OK to seek help when needed. |

For all the ragging Bobby Ryan's gotten over the years for not playing up to his contract, his return to ice and that performance were emotional and inspiring. Considering the number of former Senators who have battled substance issues, I do wonder if this team's culture, ownership or management demotivates players to such a degree that they turn to self destructive behaviors. But perseverance and hard work in the personal growth department can yield incredible dividends - look at how Robin Lehner has rejuvenated his career, and the small sample of Ryan's games since his return showed a lot of promise. For the first time in awhile I'm really excited to watch number 9 ply his trade next year. Well rewarded and received, congrats Bobby. |

All hearsay, but I think if you dig online, you can discover some the "issues" players have had and see that the organization just chose to move them rather than help them. The list of players is actually quite disturbingly long and not hard to see the players quality of life improve (in that respect) after their time in Ottawa.
Big thing about Bobby Ryan, you couldn't move on from him as his contract sucks. Could be a positive sign moving forward for the franchise for other players in this predicament. Great opportunity for the league to promote substance abuse and treatment.
Ryan's return will be a game not many fans will forget. |

I think Stutzle will to #2 to LA
If Sens take Byfield who we’re going with #5?
If Sanderson was right shot I’d take him without thinking |

I've always had a soft spot for Ryan. It seemed like every year he was getting his hand/wrists smashed with pucks and sticks and never really found a groove. After Paul MacLean got fired, his stats really went downhill. I don't know if that's just diminishing skill with injuries/age or not being able to follow the odd coaching choices Ottawa has made over the years. I'm glad he seems to be in a better place now. I hope he comes back for a "redemption" year before retiring. There's still no major expectations for Ottawa next year, so I hope he pushes other kids to get better to try to replace him. |

You would take Byfield AND rossi? Considering we have Norris, L.Brown, White and possibly Pinto, is that even an option? Do people see Norris playing LW?
2021 - 2022
Tkachuk - Byfield - White
Norris - Rossi - Batherson
Duclair - L.Brown - C.Brown
Ryan - Tierney - Pinto |

THIS BETTER NOT BE THE JERSEY, LOOKS UNFINISHED. I HOPE SENS CAN ADD MORE DETAIL TO THIS JERSEY AND MAKE IT WORTH THE MONEY.
The finishing product looking cheap and disappointing would be the least surprising thing ever. Luckily the actual Adidas version is likely to look considerably different.

The Senators need to take a defenseman at number 5, both Drysdale and Sanderson are elite players. I would expect both to pass Chabot in 2 - 3 years they are that good. |

No doubt about his skill level but what bothers me is his physical strength. |

It depends on the coach but I see him as a winger. There's not enough detail to his game to play center. He's a left shot but scores a lot of goals from the right side. |

6'2 is a pretty good size for an offensive defenseman. He could fill out a little, which should help with his strength.

I like those lines but for which year are you thinking?
Don't think Byfield can handle top line center duties just yet
I like the Sanderson pick a lot but can he play on the right side? I'm go check |

I like Nick Paul and he often gets forgotten. I believe he is a good third line player that brings size and some jam to his game. Good you included him. If Tierney and White are playing 4th line they will be leaving town sooner than later
I think Zub is pencilled into a starting job and I think Borowiecki will be wearing a different sweater. I hope not but the numbers are catching up to him. |
