Well Donnie, I've stuck with you the whole time for the most part but it's time to admit the detractors are right. Backes, Lionel, Nicole, Beleskey, Kase etc etc plus a monumentally pig headed draft have put you in do or die zone. Blessed with the best top line value in the league and literally nobody else can score. Stop fkn wringing your hands and get something done.

will be an interesting summer...Chuck and Jake are RFA's and need to be signed soon.

No idea what is going to happen with Rask, but I assume he will be back although quite a few UFA's among goalies, soooo....

Achilles heel is the lack of 5 on 5 scoring and too much reliance on PP. Guessing Krug is walking which is too bad , but he is likely looking for a 7 year term which is too long for a PP specialist. Didn't perform all that well in these playoffs IMO

I would let him walk and get some scoring upfront. Bruins have always been good defensively and maybe now is the time to give that up a bit to get more scoring upfront. I would take a look at Hall, but price may be too high although I read has always been a Bruins fan...will see..I think he wants to play with a winning franchise

Im guessing Z will be back and I am ok with that. Limited role but still effective on the PK IMO

UFA list of top forwards are Hall, Toffoli, Hoffman...

Although I like him, DS needs to up his game. Coyle trade was awesome but some misses too. 2015 draft should have been a home run, but was not...reaching on that 3rd pick was beyond dumb

Still depressing seeing Barzal, Connor and Chabot go the 3 picks after us. Wed have 2 more cups if we took those 3. Also Boeser, Konecny, Aho and Beauvillier after. Ughhhh

Even the good forwards he's brought in can't score. 😑

Looks like Krug is going for the dough and term. Hard to blame him but let him walk and spend the money up front. Top line and Mac are the only ones off the table.

I hope Donny can find a way to keep Krug ... Or at least get something for him before he just walks ...

How much will DeBrusk command? $3.5 - 4?

Got some work to do ...

Dude there's a ton of borderline 3rd to 4th liners on the market. If we pay Krug we might only be able to get 2 of them tops

Sweeney should try to work a trade for Krug’s rights ... Get something for the asset instead of watching him walk for nada. Detroit?

Friedman on SN960: "I think Boston's going to be really interesting. I think they've decided they need more scoring and I think they're going to have some big decisions to make about what that's going to mean for them. I think they're definitely one of the teams to watch."

Seems like Detroit may be the destination...big $, but a bottom feeder of a franchise...playoffs a long way away. Krug isnt a good enough all around dman to change things much IMO

I’d take less to play in Boston if Detroit was the other option ....

Should have scrapped the rest of (last) season and started this season on time. We’d be a couple weeks away from the start of a fresh asterisk-free (hopefully) season right now.

Sounds like there has indeed been significant interest in teams trading for Torey Krug's rights (@RearAdBsBlog on the case). My belief is last offer from #NHLBruins to Krug's camp was 6 years x $6.5 million.

Elliotte Friedman on Saturday Headlines says the Arizona Coyotes asked Oliver Ekman-Larsson to expand his list of teams he’d go to beyond the #Canucks and #NHLBruins - and the answer was no. #Yotes

Interesting..why the interest in Bruins?....I can see wanting to play with Pettersson in Vancouver....

Same. I want no part of this, to be honest. I’d rather them re-sign Krug.
