Anthony Travalgia: Bruce Cassidy rips officials amid controversy about playing Game 3 The NHL went forward with it's two scheduled Game 3's on Wednesday after games in the MLB, NBA, MLS and WNBA were postponed due to boycotts.

That screen for Yanni was pretty sweet...

As for Thicc Nic... I’ve seen that a 1000 times when he was a Duck.. He gets that Reputation penalty constantly.

I'd rather the Lightning win that game by one or two goals.

The Bruins are a talented and proud team, and they are going to come out hard in the next game.

Maybe a prominent black leader with a lot of influence (say Lebron) could try something different rather than boycott games and pledge support to BLM. Why not urge all people, of all colours, to obey instructions from police or other authority figures. Stop arguing, fighting, resisting, running...do that and stay safe.

Breonna Taylor was not fighting, resisting, or running.

Elijah McClain was not fighting, resisting, or running.

Some cases are not clear cut like the drunk guy in Atlanta who fell asleep in the drive-through and then stole a cop's taser and ran.

There is a racism and violence problem in the police. It needs to be fixed.

Maybe the good cops could start calling out and punishing the bad cops - that would be great.

We need to get sports back on line to get people's minds off the bad things that are happening...we need to shut down sports because it is insignificant compared to the bad things that are happening.

Seriously though, I think that butt-whoopin' might backfire on the Lightning.

I expect a category-five Bruinacane in the next game. I would be shocked if the Bruins don't come out flying, hitting everything that moves, and crashing the net hard.

Halak is a solid goalie and I expect he will seek redemption as well.

That poor Vlader (sp?) kid got thrown to the wolves, but the kid didn't look bad when considering the circumstances.

He should have just force choked any Lightning player that touched the puck.

Hey Stoney, we appreciate you putting lipstick on our pig. The bottom line is this will be a short series unless guys act like it matters to them. Carlo looks like he has little interest in being there and would rather be cuddling up with his girlfriend back in Colorado. Chara's age has completely caught up with him. I love the guy and have no question of his effort or desire but he has become a liability. As far as our forwards go...it's the perfection line, Coyle, and Nordstrom (and previously Krech, but he seems to have left the building as well)...anyone else may as well be skating in a park.

Grrrr....

I think the bad things they wanted to get people’s minds off of going was more the pandemic, the bad things now that they feel is insignificant to sports is racism. That’s why they said maybe it was a mistake going to the bubble.

The Bruins defense used to be one of their major strengths, going all the way back to 2011 or longer. The last handful of seasons has seen some regression that has culminated in the weakest Bruins defense that I can remember. It reminds me of the situation in Pittsburgh, although not as dire as their squad with friggin Jack Johnson.

Chara has definitely slowed down to the brink of being a pylon. Like you said, he's a warrior and a slow Chara is still better than many d-men, but this game is getting faster every year and guys without footspeed are almost useless in today's game.

I think Chara is a great mentor and teacher for McAvoy. He's the bright spot and even though he lost his cool, it was good seeing him play with passion. That kid is shaping up to a be a solid top-pair puck mover. But, behind him, the talent tapers off pretty quick. Carlo, Krug, and the rest are not bad and are serviceable d-men, but they aren't standouts most of the time.

It's weird seeing a Bruins team with a lackluster defense. I'm not used to this.

so dissappointing, add Krug to your list of players not showing up. Rask quitting on the team certainly doesnt help.

Stoney, thing is the defense was playing well during the season. Carlo was actually pretty impressive last year and was just a hair stepped back this year...post "standdown" he seems to have no interest or fire, doesnt want to be there. Granted playoff hockey is different than regular season hockey but it is attitude and desire I see lacking...not skill.

The Rask situation is was it is and it appeared he wasn't into it from the get go based on play and comments. I think his attitude/leaving had a bigger effect than anyone is willing to admit within the organization.

Yeah, Carlo looked solid in the regular season. Some players just have that extra playoff gear that kicks in. Maybe he doesn't have it, or maybe his heart just isn't in it or something. This pandemic has hit people differently and it must be a distraction for almost everyone.

I am really curious about Rask's decision, but we may never know the exact details of why. Whatever the case, it is likely that the Rask era is over in Boston and it's time to look past him.

Looks like they might postpone Thursdays games.

They couldn't postpone last night?

Yeah, probably push our game to Saturday then what? Back to back to back? Wouldn't surprise me with the idiots who came up with back to backs in the second round of actual playoff games. If they wanted to shorten the timeframe they should have done it in the play in/round robin part.
