As a non-Bruins fan living in Bruins territory, I found myself talking a ton of Bruins fans down off the ledge (despite the temptation to push them... ...kidding!) This format is a perfect Halak scenario. He is capable of being a very, very good goalie. The main knock on him has always been his durability through a full-season with a non-platoon-starter's workload. When Rask exited the picture, as long as Halak stayed healthy, I saw no need for concern. If you started a normal regular season with him in a Brodeur/Clemmensen-type split, then yeah, that would probably be concerning. He does best with a 30-35 game backup. In this situation though, I think he'll continue to impress you.

In the replays on TV it looked like both TB goals went in off MacAvoy.

Looks like the Bruins are doing just fine without Rask.

One game Boys, better keep the Helmets on tight Tuesday Night, TB will come High and Heavy, Have to Leave Ritchie in, maybe sub out Bjork, idk need someone to get open for Coyle.

Not sure your going to get that performance from Halak every night, but he looked every bit of a #1 goalie last night

Solid game by the Bruins. They came out ready and swarmed the Lightning. The Lightning just didn't seem ready to start the period on time. By the time they woke up, it was too late.

I'm not worried yet and we'll see how the Lightning respond in game two before I decide whether or not to start day-drinking again.

On a side note : I bet Covid will keep Marchand from licking opponents. LOL.

yeah hard to fault him for either goal, just back puck luck. They looked good though, but just one game, and pretty tense at the end.

Rather than getting involved in scrums after the whistle, Pat Maroon should be using that time to practice left turns and crossovers.

Based on how easily he licked the 1st guy, I bet he had the antibodies before it was a pandemic.

It's criminal this guy hasn't buried one yet. He creates a lot of opportunity out there. So far I like his game.

He has been looking very good but he is severely lacking the finish right now. He has had some grade A chances so far with nothing to show for it.

You guys want Ritchie back?

I like Maroon, but he's a pylon. His only use should be to park in front of the goalie on the PP. He shouldn't be on the ice at 5v5.

Marchand doesn't have to take daily tests. He's immune to all plagues.

I didn't get putting Bjork in over Studnicka. However Bjork did have a great scoring chance last night.
