Anthony Travalgia: How Jake DeBrusk and Charlie McAvoy changed Game 4 Jake DeBrusk's first of two third period goals and Charlie McAvoy's big hit on Jordan Staal changed the fortune of Game 4.

That hit was epic. Shades of Scott Stevens haven’t seen that in a long time.

I’ve seen about enough of Bjork. When Pastas back I hope they stick with the bottom six they have now.

Kid is not producing. Time to give Senyshyn a shot.

How many games would Stevens have missed due to suspension in today’s NHL? Haha

Lots. Many of his hits were to the head and/or high.

That’s not a bad idea. I liked what I saw in the few games he played. I think Bjork is another Chris Bourque/ Kenny Agostino

didnt someone from the Hurricanes line up McAvoy at the end of a game this year for shooting at the open net in a blowout? Am I remembering that right? if so, he was probably waiting for his moment.

Thinking of that hit makes me cringe. Poor Kariya said he doesn't even remember the rest of the game. Including his goal.

I don't want to get too negative, but I've been calling Bjork out from day one. He's just another Caron, Spooner, Czarnik, etc. I threw up in my mouth when they just signed him to his extension. What'd he last on the first line last night? 2 shifts?

I don't want to get too positive either. As I said in a recent post, it's good we're rolling and all, but let's not get too carried away, it is just the Canes.

It's not over yet homie. Halak looks kind of shaky with that glove hand. Seems like the Canes particularly Martinook are targeting it.

Eh, typical one off Halak outing. He'll play great for 3, 4, 5 straight games and then he'll get blown up. You can also almost always count on one gaff per game (game 3 attempted clear). All that being said, he is more than capable of us riding him to a cup win.

Especially IF Pasta returns to play and we have 2 full scoring lines.

Staal skated today, so I guess he's not that hurt.

they say they should know in the next hour or so. Looks like he was forced to go off for concussion protocol. Wasn't enough time left in the game for him to go to the quiet room then come back anyway.

Yeah I don't think he was hurt other than wind knocked out of him. The spotters probably dictated the quiet room which is why he appeared ticked off going down the tunnel. It happened at just under 10 minutes left so even with stoppages he would have barely finished the protocol before the end of the game.

I'm thinking groin or abdominal strain based on how/when it looks like it happened. Might be a lingering thing...let's hope not!

I think Pasta blocked a shot of his foot in game one if my memory is working correctly. Could be a bad bruise or hairline fracture.

Considering the poop fit he threw going down the tunnel, it didn't seem like he was concussed. Which is good hate to see it.

He'll be back. I don't expect to see him today with the series being 3-1.
